Hello there I was just wondering if someone has been through the same in the process of gathering for aos as my fiancé will be here in USA in 2 weeks here is the situation . So on the aos for medical it says you don't need a medical unless a was listed on medical . My fiancé had his medical. Week before interview and Doctor told him everything was fine but he needed more vacanation s that would take place after interview , doctor gave us the paper of all the vacacanation to show embassy day of interview and that medical was still in process which they said was fine . He passed the interview and a few days later we went back to doctor to pick up medical package and bring to embassy . So on the sheet the doctor gave us first time it list a . And from my understanding the only time you need another medical for k1 when adjusting status is when you have a . So I don't know a bit confused because medical was fine after and Doctor said no need for another medical in America . Any thoughts would be appreciated thanks all

You do not need another medical if the K-1 was within a year of filing for AOS, BUT you do need all the required vaccinations for AOS. See the link posted above.

You referred to "a." In your post. I think you may be reading that no new medical is needed unless you have Class A conditions.

Class A conditions include:

Tuberculosis

Syphilis

Chancroid

Gonorrhea

Granuloma inguinaleExternal Web Site Icon

Lymphogranuloma venereum

Hansen's disease (leprosy)External Web Site Icon

Mental Disorders (with Associated Harmful Behavior)

Substance Abuse

If you did not have any of those diagnosed on your visa medical, then the medical should not have to be done again. If your needed shots did not get marked on your medical form, then they would have to be marked on a new form, I-693 done by a civil surgeon in the US. The required shots need to all be on one form signed by the visa doctor or a civil surgeon.
