Our I-130 form was received on June 12th, 2015 and we still are waiting for the approval! What should we do?

Country: Jordan.

Embassy: U.S embassy in Amman, Jordan.

Married: May 28, 2015.

Interview Date: Aug 17, 2017.

Interview Result: Approved.

VISA Received: Aug 21, 2017.

U.S Entry & Passport Stamp: Aug 25, 2017.

March 25, 2015 – NOA 2 – Approved!

April 22, 2015- Paid AOS Bill Online

April 23, 2015 – Completed DS-261
April 26, 2015 – Sent AOS Package via Electronic Processing

The worst thing you can do is wait if you have waited over 5 months. Some petitioners have a much later filing date than yours and they were able to receive their approvals much sooner than us. They called (the petitioners) called and requested an update. Only tier 2 officers can provide an actual update. You kinda have to be pushy (in a nice way of course) to be able to get through a tier 2 officer. Check where your case is and if it was transferred. Good luck!
