Hey everyone,

it's been a while since I posted here.

I recently submitted my I-751 Form, to remove the conditions on my residency.

On Tuesday this week I've received the I-797 form, Notice of Action - I tried to see my case's status online, but for some reason the Receipt Number was invalid. I thought, okay, gonna wait a couple of days and try again.

I just came back home from work and noticed there's another letter from the USCIS which I considered to be my biometrics appointment info. Much to my surprise - it was another Notice of Action form, but with a slightly different Receipt Number - I got excited and happy, I thought they noticed their mistake and just sent me another form with a correct number - unfortunately, that number didn't work either. So right now I've got have 2 identical Notice of Action Forms with 2 slightly different Receipt Numbers and none of them seems to be valid.

Should I wait a little longer and then try again? I actually am planning on calling USCIS tomorrow.

Thanks in advance for any response.

Did you read the whole NOA1?

You can't use the NOA1 receipt number. You need to use the biometrics receipt number.

Well, this seems to be new to me - I am used to NOA1'S receipt numbers to be valid online - I even checked my other forms numbers (Conditional GC for example) and the format is very similar - if I'm totally wrong, please correct me.

Anyway, thank you for your response - I appreciate it.

Time to buy those glasses :)

EDIT: I still wonder why I've got 2 NOA1

I'm not sure why you received 2 NOAs but they should both have said to wait for the biometrics letter and use that number. Very weird to get 2 though. :)

Yeah, they do say so.

I am not a person who panics a lot in such situations (invalid numbers), I was just curious why those numbers didn't work - now I know - I'm just blind heh ;)

Thank you everyone for pointing out my mistake, much appreciated.
