AP approved but I am not allowed to travel abroad!!!!!

Hello Everyone!!!

Both EAD and AP got approved on the same day and I got my Card today and i was so excited!! now I can work finally!!!

But i was surprised when i saw on the card this : Not Valid for Re-entry to the US.

I am confused!! why after having an approved AP (On Uscis website) I am not allowed to travel abroad?

has anyone had this experience before? what should we do?

Did you file the I-131 and the I-765 together?

Then it's an error.

I would suggest making an Infopass appointment at your local office and asking how to proceed there. You may want to take a newly-completed I-131 along with you in case they ask you for another.

Obviously take your EAD with you to show them.

It's possible, but I wouldn't sit and hope that was the case.

It's meant to be a combo card when the applications are filed and approved together; the fact that it wasn't means something went wrong somewhere.

Mine were approved together but came separately. Check your mail the next day for your AP.

I called USCIS today and they were confused, they told me they made a mistake, but they will mail me my AP as a card , when i asked when they said they dont know. the AP status online still says Approved.

AOS/EAD/AP: October 29,2015 

EAD/AP approved:01/26/2016 card received: 02/02/2016

02/09/2016 GC received

ROC/CITIZENSHIP/Passport-refer to my timeline...
