Hello everybody, today I got my passport back, I have my k1 visa now :) which expiries in May but on the visa there is something says petition revalidated until 7 April, I am planning to fly to USA in May which is after this date and after I finish school, what`s the deal here? Do I have to be in USA before this petition date (April) or my visa date which is expire in May?

Email the Embassy and ask. I bet the expiration date is the date before which you need to use the visa.

I emailed the embassy but from what I read online I think petition expire date has nothing to do with me entering the USA but still wanted to hear what you guys know about it. I will travel to USA before the expiration date of the visa but it`ll be after the petition expire date which is 7 April any idea about it ?

I agree. The stamp referred to the petition, not the visa itself. As said, make sure to clear POE before the expiration date on the visa.

Sorry what is POE?

Point of Entry. First airport you land at in the USA, that is your Port Of Entry, there they will process your entry.

Alright so you say I can enter to USA up to 23 of May which is the expiration of the visa and I shouldnt care about the petiton validation date till 7 of April?

I understand that the I-129F is only good four months after the last counselor action.

Do we have to do anything if the plan is to enter five months after the visa is issued?
