AOS Interview/DORA

Hey Everyone,

I'm so happy we are done with the hard part, yesterday was my wife's AOS interview here in Dallas. It went really well let me tell you how it went:

Showed up at 7:45 for our 8:15 interview with no line!!!!!!! went up to the front office and gave them our appointment letter and sat down. at around 9:15 they called our name and we presented our AOS package to the lady and checked to see if everything was there. We were then told to take a seat and she would call us back soon. 20 mins later she called us up and gave us our interview letter for the package...to my surprise it was for 10:45...wow that's in an hours time.

10:50am we got called back for our interview by a very nice lady, and the interview started. she just asked her the same things as on the application, asked how we met...etc. and asked for photos and stuff....I was like ahhhh you need that, she's only been here for eight weeks and we proved our relationship in her K-1 VISA? I thought we didn't need it but fortunately I had a copy of our lease with both our names on it. she also copied my passport with three Indian visas and about 10 entry stamps. After all that she said "Don't worry about it I'll waiver it". We then just chatted about my wife's home and that she didn't look Indian more like Thai or Chinese, after about a twenty minute interview she said okay your approved. Before we left she told us that you should have your biometrics appointment in about three weeks and the only thing left was the name check. From showing up at 7:45 and walking out the door after the interview at 11:20 I was amazed. THANK YOU D.O.R.A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations! This is a long process and sometimes difficult to be patient and let things run their course. I know that Melinda and I were always anxious as we waited through each phase of the visa approval. Hang in there and it will all be worth is very soon. Praying for you here in Arizona

Thanks for your support, all we have to wait for now is the FBI name checks. From what i can see that part of the process can take some time. I just hope that the Indian government is orginized not like the rest of India. Anyone from India who has gone through the name check process what was your time frame?
