Any suggestions?

Also, any suggestions on not getting your hopes up when USCIS erroneously updates your case status...besides crying your eyes out?

USCIS Process:

Sent I-130: October 12, 2015
NOA1 hardcopy received: October 15, 2015

***Countless USCIS phone calls, congressional inquiries, and Ombudsman's Office inquiries later****
NOA2 approval: July 14, 2016
Petition Recieved by NVC text & email: August 2016

NVC Process:
Case number and IIN Assigned: August 11, 2016
Choice of Agent (DS-261) completed: August 11, 2016
AOS Fee Invoiced: August 12, 2016
Pay AOS Fee: August 12, 2016
AOS Fee appeared as PAID: August 13, 2016
IV Fee Invoiced: August 13, 2016
Pay IV Fee: August 13, 2016

You just applied in October???

this takes at least a year

I can only say to keep each other spirits up / don't let this proces come between you and make problems

encourage the other

try to make your online talks about positive knowing you can win and will be together

this is a time for getting to know each other --long distance, yes---but the Tunsian must know all about you for interview

I could tell you a hundred ways to cry as i went thru it for 6 years (first applied in 2009 / finally approved in 2015) i am sure you will not go thru what happened to me

but cry in private or to us . don't show him how upset you are as you do not want to discourage him

encouage him

allah yessir

incha allah you will be happy finally when this is over

and forget about a lawyer / they really don't do much to help

all the information you need is here and/or on USCIS site

Such a good point. Insha Allah. We are used to this distance as I was unable to visit him during my Peace Corps service. But times are much more difficult with instability there. Causes a lot more upset, as I am sure it was the same for you two. I cannot imagine... 2009 until 2015!
