Actually--and you know this--it's because people killing in the name of Jesus are as rare as hen's teeth.

The PP shooting and the bombing of abortion clinics beg to differ. Not to mention the random killings that don't get a lot of press. Like the one dude who was beaten to death in a church.

Or the guy who threw his little girl over a bridge.

Not to mention the various cults over the years that use religion to lure in people and rob them blind at best or kill them at worst.

You should run the numbers: number of christians in the US to number of muslims and people killed for religious reasons by either group. That would be interesting. Since you mention abortion clinics, why don't you set your time line on the date the first abortion clinic was bombed, tabulate from then on the percentage of people killed by each religion and compare that to the population of each religion in the US at the time.

We are talking about people killing people in the name of Jesus, or in the name of religion. History disagrees with, and disproves your previous statement.

Ha, you are being very vague deliberately because you know if you get to specifics your argument will fall apart.

This thread is clearly about islam in the modern world and terrorism in general.

Not really. This thread is about American Muslims raising money for the families of the victims in San Bernardino.

When it comes to killing in the name of god, Christians have done it for centuries, in the name of Jesus - it really isn't that surprising becuase Christians and Muslims worship the one and same god. Sister religions. Same god. Same theology.

This is why you can not just post statistics and then walkaway saying they provide causation. With the notion of Christian vs Muslim attacks in the US the small Muslim population coupled with one or two major attacks with lots of casualties will throw the data way way off.

And I absolutely believe we need to start arresting people in Salem today who are killing witches, and those who may be involved in the crusades. And it's time to take a serious look at the spanish inquisition as well.

On the contrary, they don't throw it off at all. That's rather the point, isn't it? Do you think that when the FDA is deciding whether to approve a new drug and it finds that from time to time people who take the drug simply explode it throws those stats out because they skew the results?

good call on salem/crusades/spanish inquisition. i think the same logic is applied when we arrest islamic terrorists..

why are you comparing a religion to a government regulated substance like they are the same beast?

If there is a piece of data that throws the study off they will look at it closer and may exclude it if external influences may have played a part yes.

If we make up a fictional drug that made one person explode and they found lets say that large quantities of xenon was inhaled with the drug, as a part of the cause, then they probably would exclude that data with a warning because how many people inhale xenon in their life.

So are Muslims also raising money for the PP victims?

Let me guess, if the answer is no, your dislike of Muslims will be justified.

I am in Colorado and Muslims raising money for PP had not made the local news.
