The PP shooting and the bombing of abortion clinics beg to differ. Not to mention the random killings that don't get a lot of press. Like the one dude who was beaten to death in a church.

You know you my cousin, right? I don't think it's human nature. My opinion is they have to since they're collectively blamed for anything that happens regarding people who are identified as such. They have to condemn it, even though they shouldn't have to because if they don't, the belief is they condone it by being silent.

I know the church won't do it, not because they're not charitable, but we can separate the crazy from the sane when it comes to Christianity. Muslims aren't afforded that opportunity.

I think it's human nature. A similar thing, but on a much smaller scale, is when I'm in the Philippines and I see an American acting like a conceited jerk. It's embarrassing to me. It's not me, and his behavior isn't a reflection of who I am, but he still makes me feel a little bit of shame.

I think it's as simple as when someone who is a part of your group, whether the group is American, Muslim, or whatever, does something bad, the others of the group feel a little bit of the shame. It's just part of being human.

Everything doesn't have to be about everybody else treating a minority group bad. Sometimes people are just people and they have feelings like everybody else.

You should run the numbers: number of christians in the US to number of muslims and people killed for religious reasons by either group. That would be interesting. Since you mention abortion clinics, why don't you set your time line on the date the first abortion clinic was bombed, tabulate from then on the percentage of people killed by each religion and compare that to the population of each religion in the US at the time.

When it comes to killing in the name of god, Christians have done it for centuries, in the name of Jesus - it really isn't that surprising becuase Christians and Muslims worship the one and same god. Sister religions. Same god. Same theology.

Actually this thread is about Muslims donating money to people who were killed in an attack.

People killed here by terrorist attack tied to Islam is around 4000 and some change. Since 2001. People killed just because and religion is in the 6 figure range. If Islam is so violent, why aren't there more attacks here in the US?

This is why you can not just post statistics and then walkaway saying they provide causation. With the notion of Christian vs Muslim attacks in the US the small Muslim population coupled with one or two major attacks with lots of casualties will throw the data way way off.

And I absolutely believe we need to start arresting people in Salem today who are killing witches, and those who may be involved in the crusades. And it's time to take a serious look at the spanish inquisition as well.

If there is a piece of data that throws the study off they will look at it closer and may exclude it if external influences may have played a part yes.

If we make up a fictional drug that made one person explode and they found lets say that large quantities of xenon was inhaled with the drug, as a part of the cause, then they probably would exclude that data with a warning because how many people inhale xenon in their life.
