Does somebody know or can help me out. I am a musician myself and I got a few gigs to play outside of the country. After my case got lost in transition between USCIS and NVC I had to adjust another 4 month. It took them for ever to find my case. I finally told my lawyer about it, he followed up! And a week later my paper work showed up at NVC.

Now here is my actual problem because of this huge delay I got already some bookings for February and March 2016 to play here in Germany for a major label company. I will get married probably on Dec. 22nd in Springfield, the lady there was a very helpful person, she will get my paper work all done on the same day. So I am going to file my I-485, I-765 and my I-131 the right after. My lawyer told me that it takes a least 60 days to get a travel permit - that really would be a big issue for my career. I read that there is a advanced parole travel document. Is this issued faster and gives me the possibility to travel outside the USA in February?

I kind of feel so upset because of the whole delay. I had no chance after they delayed everything I couldn't stop to take on work as a self-employed musician.

Anybody with some words of hope?

Welcome to the forum.

:guides: easily accessible at the top of the forum page. In particular, the K1/K3 AOS Guide: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos About 2/3 down the guide page it speaks about Employment Authorization Document (EAD) and Advance Parole (AP), that should be of interest to you. At this time, EAD/AP combo card processing is taking about 60-90 days.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

Based on no response from you, I assume you found your answer. But the Advanced Parole (AP) is I-131.

Have you arrived in the US, yet? Your timeline doesn't even say if you have been approved for your K-1. Anyway, you have 6 months to enter the country after approval. Is it possible for you to arrive after the gigs? I am sure you are anxious to be with your loved one, but throwing out another option.
