Does anyone have experience of cases sent to USCIS from the EMbassy? How long did it take for them to respond to you? Also does that mean it starts all over again...USCIS...NVC....then Embassy?

The reason I ask is because if you think th reason is off the wall and all wrong you should get in touch with your senator and ask for help. But it needs to get done before the case leaves the embassy

Current record holder of fastest through the NVC :D

Medical exam in Stockholm April 13th
Interview on May 16th !!!

Why was your case sent back? What was the reason?

The reason I ask is because if you think th reason is off the wall and all wrong you should get in touch with your senator and ask for help. But it needs to get done before the case leaves the embassy

My case is being sent because they suspect fraud/misrepresentation and that my spouse and I aren't married. I did call my congressman but he said if the consular officer refused the visa, he cannot do anything to help me.

I do not have personal experience with this, try searching on this site

I have seen that for CR1/IR1 cases, I believe the process is you will get a NOIR after USCIS receives your case and you have 30 days to respond. so an NOIR is like an RFE but more serious. You should provide ALL information you have relative to the NOIR. After they review your file, they will likely send it back to the Embassy where you will be called for another interview. I would strongly suggest attending the interview with your husband.

Thanks for your response. Yeah I have read up on what happens after tits sent to USCIS, just wanted to see if I can get a rough time-frame of how much longer I have to wait. :( Seems like another year at least to wait.

Current review is about a year
