All: I just recently received notification that my petition for removal of conditions had been approved and that the new card is en route. Please see my signature and timeline for details. We had received an RFE and had responded to it, but were never called for an interview. So for those of you waiting since December 2014 or later: things are moving, if slowly. You can always get an I-551 stamp to extend your status.

First, I took Infopass appointment. I ask immigration officer politely about my case status ( he gives me green signal that your case is pending at VSC, (so, no chance of interview).

After that Every week , I keep calling them try to know my case status. Try to get case info from Tier 2 officer.

Hi everyone. I jumped onto this thread because my hubby's case is stuck in security checks. Hubby's ROC was received by USCIS on March 16, 2015 and his Biometrics were done in April. Currently the nearest service center is 8 hours drive away, but we are moving the end of this month to Wisconsin, and I believe there is a service center in Milwaukee, which will be under an hour away. I assume if his extension letter runs out before he gets his card he can get a stamp on his passport? We are hoping there will not be an issue with the timing of our move.

I have a question, how did you guys knew that the case was pending security checks?

In my case the asked for RFE in October, and I did in September.

I got extension stamp on my passport in January and the officer at that time told me that the case is pending and everything is fine, they didnt mention security checks or anything, just "PENDING"!

Do you mean service request ?

if no, then who did you email?

thank you

Yes, I filled out the form for "Case outside normal processing time" and the auto response email said I would hear something by the 24th. Today I got an email that said this:

"On 02/02/2016, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-751 to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

We have placed your case on a processing hold because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these security checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the results of security checks before we make a decision on any pending case.

We cannot predict when we will receive the results of these security checks. Please be assured that we will make every effort to make a decision in your case as soon as the security checks are complete.

We hope this information is helpful to you."
