It won't make the news like San Bernadino did. But WHAT IF someone at the Xmas party were to be carrying concealed? Would 14 still be dead? Less perhaps?

On Friday, an Uber driver with a concealed carry permit thwarted an attempted mass shooting by pulling his own weapon and shooting a gunman who had opened fire in Chicago’s Logan Square.

Illinois Assistant State’s Attorney Barry Quinn verified that the driver “had a concealed-carry permit and acted in the defense of himself and others.”

According to the Chicago Tribune, the driver was watching “a group of people” walk in front of his car on North Milwaukee Avenue just before midnight when 22-year-old Everardo Custodio allegedly “began firing into the crowd.” The Uber driver pulled his own gun and “fired six shots at Custodio,” wounding him in “the shin, thigh, and lower back.”

The attempted mass shooting ended with no one other Custodio injured.

Ohhh

Any thought by Obama?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Coherent would seem to be unlikely.

Might as well ask what if the gunmen decided life was good enough for them and not gone on the rampage with bombs and bullets.

Sometimes things just happen and you can't do anything about it.

When did I ever say that

the trump wants to ban muslims thread. same way liberals can't go around screaming about rounding up all the mean looking scary guns and taking them from responsible gun owners/ criminals alike - the right can't go off the deep end in allowing their fear of a religion and its extremist followers turn them into fascists.

Food for thought:

An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.
