Hi there, i want to use my husbands last name. We just got married last Nov.

My questions is, am I going to put my new last name on all forms? In form I130 I485 G325A I795 I131 everything in all forms... because on our marriage cert. My old last name is only written there. Thanks....

Just put your new last name on all the application forms that you send in. Where there is a box/section that asks about previous names just put in your maiden last name (don't forget your first and middle names too haha).

That and your marriage certificate is enough to prove a legal name change. Also my maiden name is on the marriage certificate as well because it is who applied for the certificate. At the time of application (before your marriage) that was your last name.

Good luck!

Hi There I have question regarding the affidavit of support. What if your husband only filed 2014 tax return not 2013 and 2012 is their gonna be a problem for that. According to the form, the most recent is the only thing they need. Thanks..

I don't know if that helps you or not but we are in somewhat simular situation. We just applied for 2012, 2013 and 2014 tax returns. And it's being an end of the year, we were told by local irs office that 2014 will be processed sooner than 2013 and 2012. We also found out that there is an identity theft in 2013 and it could take up to 6 months to be straighted out. So I will be filing for AOS only with the transcript of 2014 tax returns and all the numbers from 2012 and 2013. I hope we will be fine. Basically we did file for all precious years, we just haven't gotten returns yet.

Hi there,

I RECEIVE A LETTER FROM WHICH SAYS " WE ARE RETURNING AN ITEM YOU SENT IN SUPPORT OF YOUR APPLICATION/PETITION, AS IT IS A FORMAT WE CANNOT PLACE IN YOUR FILE FOLDER FOR REVIEW BY AN OFFICER DURING THE ADJUDICATION PROCESS"

BECAUSE I SENT A PHOTO ALBUM OF ME AND MY HUSBAND. WHAT'S THE BEST FORMAT FOR SENDING OUT PICTURES IN USCIS? CAN I RESEND THE PICTURES AGAIN? THANKS
