Its not a debate either of us will win and I can't say I'm bothered about it either way. Just object to the comment that numbers should be taken at face value.

It's hard to win a debate with someone whose married to his conclusions. Gun homicides are a very uncommon in Europe, Australia, China, South Korea etc, despite having laws that prevent people going out and buying any kind of gun the desire. But forget that, we should just pretend that fewer people owning more guns has nothing to do with declining homicides. Let's just pretend that guns are as evenly distributed among Americans as they were 30 years ago.

Everyone is like that. Whatever issue is important to someone they'll find evidence for our against it based on their opinion. Best one is climate change - huge amount of data suggesting it is happening but a few clicks on the Internet you can find some old ####### to discredit the whole thing. Then a few like minded people on a forum like this come along and give it a relevance it doesn't have out in the world.

how could i not get that when the weapons used in san bernardino were purchased legally and the guy who shot up the planned parenthood wasn't allowed to have guns - but he did.

Their guns may have been purchased legally by someone else but every single one of those laws on that illustration were broken. Those rifles were not California legal, the killers didn't submit to a background check simce the guns were given to them by a friend, etc., and the planned parenthood shooter had a gun but wasn't allowed to. Tell me again how more gun laws will make us safer.

I noticed. And this level of ignorance is coming from a mod. But that's none of my business

you make a meme of the incident you posted with the same words, and i'll use that pic also.
