I do not see why everyone gets upset if the authorities want to check out your church or mosque, almost every church I know of is always inviting newcomers to join them. If you get upset because the authorities want to check out your church/mosque teachings and members, then you most likely have something to hide. Every church I have attended has always preached the same material and similar sermons most of which have been based on the Ten Commandments. I believe most Christian denominations have undergone reformation within the last few centuries and perhaps it is time for some other religions to follow suit!

I don't understand why every gun owner doesn't want to be catalogued by name/address/weapons owned in a national database. I mean, they shouldn't have anything to hide......just trying to relate.

There was more to hitler than the holocaust. For example, his rise to power partially due to whipping Germany into a nationalistic fervor by blaming all of its problems on non-german influences.

Everyone thought Hitler had all the answers and was going to make Germany great again. They elected him and he started putting into place some of the policies that Trump is talking about. I don't understand why anyone would think that learning from the horrible mistakes of the past and being wary of electing someone who may eventually commit atrocities would be spitting on the memory of the victims of the holocaust.

The Nazis killed people, not Hitler personally, and not only in the holocaust but also the wars they caused. I was talking about ALL of it.

What's interesting is, this attack is all it took to have a presidential candidate say we need to ban Muslims. But we can't have a discussion about guns when mass shootings happen almost every week.
