Thanks for the info. I assume the baby will also require its own medical exam at Knightsbridge, regardless of whether the baby is born before or after my fiancee's medical exam, but before the embassy interview. Am I correct in assuming this?

If you have US citizenship, then no the baby will not need a medical.

The baby is not immigrating. The baby will be just an American getting on the plane and going home. No medical, no visa, no interview, no adjustment of status, no greencard. But there is all the paperwork and documentation to get the CRBA, US passport photos, US Passport. It all happens at the same building (embassy) but in separate sections because they are different services. There are separate queues and entrances to the building depending on if you are going for a visa or for American Citizen Services.

Baby can also get a British passport, but won't use it on the trip over with your fiance.

The CA Service Center received my RFE Response on January 4th. I'm noticing some RFEs are answered in 2 days. Just out of curiosity, how long do they have to review my response or make a decision? We are being patient, but we also do not want to get lost in the shuffle. Is there a priority placed on RFEs? I am also going to assume there is no one to call and ask why hasn't it been looked at, or ask if it is lost somewhere. My impression is that you can call, but whomever you speak to has only limited information, and really cannot do anything, nor tell you anything more than what you see on your account online. I sent my RFE for divorce decree and they received mine since november 17th till today I do not have any update they said 6o days mine it is more than that.I had to call.last week to open a case inquiry I am so impatient I feel discouraged.

Received our NOA 2 last night (February 2nd, 2016). With baby due on May 16th, it is not looking likely that we will have the baby in the states, unless we get a March interview.

If she ends up giving birth here then you will need to file for a passport for the baby. If you go to the link I posted back in this thread it will explain how to do that. I have filed a born abroad certificate for my daughter when she was 4 months old. She is a full US citizen and has a passport and SSN number already, it does mean an extra trip to the embassy, but the paperwork is nothing compared to the K-1. You can apply as soon as the baby is born.

Also if you call NVC for the LND number you can book the medical for the end of this month and it's highly possible she would interview in march or end of April getting the visa in April. It is cutting it close and most airlines may not let her fly with out a GP letter after she is 32 weeks pregnant. But it's worth trying to speed things up.

I'm not 100% Sure but I think this is the right number. +1 603 334 0888 option 1 But you have to wait 10 days from the date you get the NOA2 so start calling around the 12th.

Thats ok, once they give you the number I'd book the medical for the next week and file all your forms and say your ready. That way once the medical is done they will hopefully send you a interview date pretty quickly.
