Case completed NVC processing 2 yrs ago yet no interview date till now!!

Hello

I am in Yemen.

Two years ago (Jan27 2014) I received an email from NVC stating that they completed the pre-processing of my case and I should wait till an interview date is scheduled for me. They also said not to make any travel arrangements...etc. But Nothing happened since then!! Case status says "At NVC"

Due to the current situation in Yemen, people who have cases at NVC traveled to nearby countries to complete their cases and were apparently scheduled for interview. I emailed NVC several times requesting them to schedule an interview date, but they only replied once saying my case will be transferred to Algeria and that I should wait!!

Now, do I have to first travel to some country (Djibouti for example) then request my case to be transferred to this country so my case can AT LEAST move a bit forward?! My case has been dead for two years and I don't know how long more I am supposed to wait till I get an interview date.

please help

Your case has been sitting at NVC for 2 years? Have the usc tried to do anything about this? Get in touch with a senator perhaps? Have you spoken with a tier 2 at nvc or have you just emailed?

Yes! Actually completed NVC processing since 2 years!

Yes, my wife tried to get in touch with the Senator, he promised to get me an interview date within 45 days. its been 60 days. She is trying to reach him but he is not replying to emails/phone calls any more.

Have your wife call NVC and demand to talk to a tier 2. The people who answer the phones won't be able to help. Figure out exactly where your case is.

She did not ask to speak to a tier 2. Every time she calls they tell her that they can do nothing and we only have to wait.

May I know what is Tier 2 people?

Have your wife call every day and ask to speak with a supervisor. It will likely take several times to get one, but keep calling until you do. In regards to your elected government official, it would be much more helpful if she made an appointment to go visit your senator/representatives office. They can ignore phone calls and emails but it is difficult to ignore someone sitting in your office.

Will tell her to ask to speak to a supervisor.

By the way! would this be of any help? 2012 I entered the US as a visitor, I married my wife there. stayed there for 3 months but for family reasons I had to file my case and I returned back to my country.

I am so frustrated and afraid I travel to some country and stay there forever waiting for my case to move forward with no use!

Also, have your wife get in touch with the other senator of you state.

No she didn't get in touch with any other senator's office. Would it make a difference if she tries asking another senator?
