UK Medical and interview photo requirements!!

Hi everyone,

Couple of questions, if anyone can help.

First, I have my medical scheduled for 14 December but CEAC says case is still at NVC. Got interview letter on 2/12 and it says I can schedule my medical. Bit confused on that point: if my medical results get shipped before, won't that screw up the processing? (My interview date is January 6). The details from NVC and the medical centre seem to be conflicting; anyway, they didn't ask if my case was shipped when I rang the Knightsbridge office and they only asked did I have my interview letter which I have. Should be good, right?

Second, I recently got 4x UK passport photos for the medical as per the medical request; however, for the interview it states that I have to have two 2x2 inch photos for the interview. Those are bigger than the UK ones!! Very confused and kind of stressed. Don't want to fly out to London twice in the space of three weeks and have everything screwed up for technical problems.

All advice will be greatly appreciated!

- Andrew

The 2x2 photos are the standard US size. You can get then done in Tescos in one of those booths or you can print your own.

If you have an interview letter, then you are good for going to the medical. Sometime CEAC does not update properly.

The medical people accept 4 identical passport style photos in either US or UK size. Does not matter which size.

For the interview, it must be US size. It is actually only one for the interview now. They scan it and hand it back to you.

Many photo booths in supermarkets have an option for "US visa". There are also many places in London near the Bond St Tube station (close to embassy) that do photos, as well as Gould's Pharmacy on N. Audrey Street, just steps from the embassy.

Thank you so much! Great answer. It's quite frustrating how contradictory the various channels for acquiring a visa are!
