So is Oriz the Ed Norton character or Expat1?

>I would be interested in your take after watching the film

Off Wall Street is a bore-no talk of hookers and drugs ... Will check out the film. Thanks, dude.

>Damon and Martin are the starts but the side show, possibly among the best performances by both Malkovich and Turturro

Bonds are getting to make a big move on the Fed announcement on Wednesday. I am buying a saddle on TLT risking 2% of my portfolio on Monday. Option will be minimum 30 + days out. I don't want to get in the 10 or 30 year bond futures hence I am using TLT.

You've sold me on this film. Love Malkovich .

good , having folks in life that can quote Rounders is more precious than folks who can quote Godfather

So you are recommending that folks move to a cash position for up to three years? No bonds and no equities?

I'm not recommending anything. My opinion is that equities and bonds will not go up in the next few years. Do with that info whatever you want.

I did think bonds were the place to be in recent years just as I thought the dollar was, and just as I thought oil, gold, silver, copper and the Euro were not. But bonds have exhausted their uptrend and yields have exhausted their decline for the most part.

Thats what I'm doing and though I think the correction will be over in the next no later than 4-6 months I dont care how long it takes for market valuations to improve. Until they do, I'm not buying but I'm still accumulating liquidity.

I will start dip buying when the Shiller, market cap to GDP, and dividend yield premium (all) reach the box in the other thread. In this case it would take an approximate 20% devaluation (more or less). Im not really looking for a bottom, just a certain valuation level.

I dont mind the 5, 10% dips along the normal market cycle but nobody should ever advise you to invest in a bubble.

Okay,

I can almost figure this out :

"I will start dip buying when the Shiller, market cap to GDP, and dividend yield premium (all) reach the box in the other thread. In this case it would take an approximate 20% devaluation (more or less). Im not really looking for a bottom, just a certain valuation level."

No Maltese Crosses or Dead Cat Bounces, just basic arithmetic with stats available to me.

Oh. Sorry, that was in the other thread. Shiller PE, market cap to gdp, and yield premium relative to the 10 yr is my box. Rest of this discussion was really just health of the market stuff and recent volitility.
