Hello there!

Me and my fiance were in a very similar position when we filed out I-129f!

He had visited me once during the summer for a little over a month and I am planning to visit him for another month for Christmas in the next few weeks.

Our I-129f was approved quickly without any RFE, and we do not forsee any issues with the interview.

Some countries may require more and will apply more scrutiny if you have only met once due to them having higher levels of immigration fraud. Australia is not one of these countries.

You have enough, just make sure to be thorough when putting together your evidence for the one meeting, and you should be fine!

I just want to know if a single meeting will provide enough evidence for the K1, or whether it will look too rushed and not genuine.

Only need to meet once, to satisfy that requirement of the 129f petition. Proof of a legitimate relationship is for the interview.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi! I met my now husband online last February 2014, prior to meeting him online I already had plans to travel to the USA. After a few weeks talking/skyping we decided to meet up while I was travelling.

In September we officially met and the same thing, we knew we wanted to be together and marry one day.

I was visiting with him for three weeks and two days before I left to come home we got engaged.

We filed for the K1 a few months after I got home and everything went smoothly. Just give lots of evidence, like the first few messages you sent to each other, plane tickets, Skype records, phone call records etc, lots of photos of various things you do during the visit and anything else you think might help.

It is definitely okay to have met once. At my interview for the visa the guy asked me when we met online and then met officially and when we got engaged, when he heard the timeline he said, "that's a bit fast, isn't it?" - but everyone's relationship is different. So don't be put off if that happens at the interview :P

Good luck! :)
