I lost Package 3 - What now?

Hey,

Everything went smooth so far and surprisingly fast! Up until this week...

I am travelling at the moment, so I asked my father to check my mail. Last Saturday the Package 3 from the embassy in Frankfurt, Germany arrived.

My fiancée and I were beyond excited and wanted to send it back asap. So I asked my dad to send Package 3 to Munich where I was staying. Now it's one week since he sent it (he just put it in the mail without tracking or anything - which was not the smartest, we know...).

So probably it just got lost on the way.

What should I do now?

Should I call the embassy and tell them what happened?

Or should I tell them that I haven't received anything yet at all and I am still waiting - and letting them assume it got lost while they sent it to me?

Try the German forum and see if anybody there can tell you what's in Package 3. Otherwise contact the embassy

Should I call the embassy and tell them what happened?

I would send them a letter, tell them the package was lost in the mail and ask to send the package again. This way you're on the safe side just in case somebody takes advantage of the lost package ...

Have you gotten the original yet? Deutsche Post has been really slow lately.
