Last night I got the greencard after 2 and a half month of waiting, but it's containing wrong infomation.

It's saying my place of birth is Usa , instead of South Korea. My AP/EAD card has correct infomation so I have no idea How they could messed it up.

Even, if i was born in Usa, I would have a citizenship so why should i had to apply for the greencard but well let's not talk about how stupid they are.

My thing is, I was waiting for the greencard to get the driver's license. I really need to get it soon. So I'm wondering if I can just use this card to get the driver's license and correct it after then. I was told with AP/EAD card I'll have the driver's license only valid for a year so I was trying to get it with greencard. Correct me it I had a wrong info.

And I'd like to know how long it will take to get the new one.

My autocorrect somehow changed "info" to number on the subject! And actually i had an extra question... Do I have to change it???

You should get it corrected, as mentioned on the paper the GC was attached to when you received it. Review that information, including calling the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283 or go online to http://www.uscis.gov for more information.

The good news is that is was their error, so you won't have to pay for it. The bad news is that don't know how long it will take to get it replaced. Having errors on those types of documents inevitably tends to cause problems down the road, usually at the most inopportune time.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Do you have any idea what I can do to get the driver's license then? I really need to get it but if I send it back I won't be having U.S ID until they send me back.

And I also need to go to the school by next summer.

This is so complicated ??

Maybe get the US ID before mailing off the green card? Also , make a front and back copy of your card before sending it off with the I-90. You could also make an infopass before mailing it off and ask that they provide a temporary I-551 stamp in your passport for work and travel while you are waiting for your card to be corrected.
