VJ Family need some advice please. :idea: Hubby went today for interview and they gave him 221g. He needs to bring back a original translated copy of our marriage certificate, he only had a copy of translation. :cry: The letter says for him to get original translated copy and bring it back with passport for processing. Does this mean he will be approved?

Hi,

My hubby also got a 221g form. Just stay calm and give them what they requested. I'm still waiting for a reply (it's been 5 days since i turned in the forms they requested.)

I wrote to see what was the status of our case and received this reply:

Dear Ms. Calavera,

We have received your husband’s documentation on November 27, 2015. His case is under the final stages of processing. If everything is fine and complete, his passport will be returned to him at the office of Cargo Expreso that he selected at the time of registration.

25-NOV-2015 Finally sent the documents required with 221g form...
30-NOV-2015 They updated my case file on CEAC but still reads "Admin Processing"..(crossing fingers)

14-DEC-2015 They "touched" and update my case file at the embassy, still under AP

28-DEC-2015 They touched my file again...still under AP

29-DEC-2015 !!!! VISA ISSUED - According to CEAC site...yay!! (now waiting to see when we can pick up)

Get it back to them ASAP so the case does not go into AP and get sent back to US

If they ask for this, it is actually a good sign that you may be approved

get the Arabic copy to them fast

We are in a similar situation. I think once you turn in the document they requested they will resume adjudicating the case. Unfortunately as it appears in our case it looks like they may go about it slowly. Hopefully your Embassy will not creep once your turn in the documents.

I got my visa Issued like a month ago and sent to me in the Aramex after a three months of administrative process because I had also after the interview a refusal of g221 paper with request of the wife's entry visa's to Egypt in her passport , Second day I sent the coloured copies of what they asked in Aramex and they got it week after and after three months I got my issued visa in the mail without even notification that it is processed not even an Email , and to be honest I used the help of a senator to speed up the administrative process and that was so helpful because it can take so long time even if they got what they do what as papers but also it may go faster than you expect and thats depends on the strength of the evidences of marriage you applied with and many other factors , but the senator was a very big help in following up the case and speeding up the process .

I hope everyone gets his visa soon and get reunited with his soulmate soon :)
