Don't get me wrong butttttt ....... They let Mohammed enter the US and get married with Danielle (see 90 days fiancé) . I'm not that sure anymore about homeland security and what they do to protect the country!

OMG! Hate terrorists....why normal people have to suffer because of them.

Because they are evil. Evil really do exist. It is weak minds that think that they do not.

And since the USA is not a police state, the police can not and will not protect you.

So who will? You do......or let those that inclined to do so, do their jobs. ( And I mean the generalize You, not the poster.)

But we do not allow that to happen because eveyone is so afraid.

There were no sheepdogs at that party, weren't allowed to attend. You see what happens.

If you feel lucky that it wasn't you, then you are paritally responsible.

Protecting your family is not automatic but it is your duty to do so.

Google the story of The Sheep, The Wolf and The Sheepdog.

Perfect example.

You don't think that the average citizen has a responsiblity to protect the country as well? Just being rhetorical.

There were two attackers May 3rd in Garland, Texas. Two men from Phoenix trying to kill attendees at a function that offended them. Our country separates church and state - one isn't superior in America. We have the First Amendment.

One of the attackers, Nadir Soofi, also a normal citizen, posted on his Twitter before the attempted attack that it's getting harder to be a Muslim in America. So what did he do? He tried to make it harder...

These two were shot dead before they could carry out their attack, and another man was indicted for his involvement.

Vengeance does not benefit. Here, we cannot strip the rights of others because we don't agree with them.

The reports say the Dallas Muslims were instructed to ignore the 'draw Mohammed' event. Had those two not showed up, America would have never known of the event. Had Charles Hedbo not been attacked, the magazine would have been out of business within months. Instead, they gained enough subscription revenue to keep going.

I had just finished typing my response, but with the thread transfer, I lost my entire message. (On the mobile site) Grrrrr.....

We still don't know what their motives are, but if their motives were for radical reasons, then their actions are counter-productive. They are the ones making Islamophobia grow - not the media, not the West - actions like these do. It bothers me when I see comments that deflect the real issue by trying to use some lame excuse. To me, Muslims should be more outraged that someone would act in this manner using their religion as a cover. I saw one comment today from a Muslim expressing that sentiment. I will end my rant there. Trying to gauge public opinion by using the Internet only gives you the view point of those that post - not the real overall opinion.

Demographics and motive matter in any crime. Trying to disassociate these two from any tragedy is ultimately harmful.

To end the speculation about if they were married or if she adjusted status :

Ms. Malik entered the United States on a K-1 visa, a 90-day visa given to fiancés planning to marry Americans. The couple applied on Sept. 30, 2014, for a permanent resident green card for Ms. Malik, which requires passing criminal and national security background checks using F.B.I. and Department of Homeland Security databases, and she was granted a conditional green card in July 2015.

I don't think anything will change with K1 but the scrunity on some countries will ne greater, VWP will definitely be changed

There's good & bad from all countries however the American public & gov is very mindful of the ppl & those with association to

certain places, this of course does lead to profiling. One media report said his parents posted onlone for a wife for him & he eventually

met this girl when he traveled to Saudi Arabia, many different reports out there, they did die leaving a 6 mth old.

But how does one knows who may be a sleeper or have been mentally radicalized, how does the gov see in their brain if they have no

past history that vetting would show the real them......I think live & let live but many westerners & non believers are being killed & maimed

May the dead RIP and those harmed recovers nicely....keep the families in your prayers

I hope so. This terror attack has nothing with K-1 visa, the terrorists may leak to any country using any way, no matter how much it tighten. It's only complicating the whole process to normal people.

This doesn't make much sense; on the contrary if immigration is tightened up it is harder for normal and naughty people to get in. You don't see immigrants from China or Australia or Sweden involved in this kind of stuff. Virtually all are from majority islamic nations, so it absolutely makes sense to keep tightening up policies, because these nations are so antithetical to western values in so many ways, whether we are talking about freedom of speech, respect of minority classes (both racial and other groups such as sexual identification or those with disabilities), or basically anything that there should be extra vetting given.

Even Canada is wisening up: http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/nov/23/canada-syrian-refugee-resettlement-plan-no-single-men

Eventually Europe will wisen up as well, though it may take some more terror attacks before the politically correct among them are finally shown the door. Apparently France is semi-revolting against its leaders and set to grant massive votes to some right wing politicians in an upcoming election.

Yeah, the whole "America/Westerns are more evil" argument loses water unless someone expressing this opinion wants to include the Muslims killing Muslims in Islamic countries too...

Counter-productive? Hardly. To me it seems that the goal is to increase Islamophobia... so that they can say ''see everyone is just hatin' on us.. we're oppressed by those evil blah blah blah blah blah....'' But on the other hand I think it's clear that they just don't care.

As for K1 vetting, it still makes little sense to me in the timeline of things. Yes, I *know* what the FBI is saying makes sense, but the other statements by family members don't make sense. This individual was apparently being watched or had come up in some FBI tracking because of the crazy things he was saying/doing. He then files a K1 which includes even more checking. All of us that filed K1s know how much checking is involved. Those who have filed from Middle-Eastern countries especially know the additional checks they are put through. And yet... they let this happen.

You might be right. I took the motivation for many of these attacks to take vengeance for offending God or disrespecting their religion. And/or those attacking because of Western countries in Islamic countries.

They don't honor God. Do you know how many centuries we have been offending God? These attackers disrespect their own religion with these attacks. As for the last reason, I think I touched on my opinion with an earlier reply, bit if this is the reason, it's sorry, hypocritical and short-sighted.
