CNN reports that she entered on a K-1 and became married and was a legal permanent resident, so she AOSed just fine.

I guess you can put it that way. From the info in the news he was a very devoted muslim. Then after a trip to Saudi Arabia he radicalized since he came home with the typically long beard and all that. But that is just my guess.

It looks like the USEM in Riyadh, KSA doesn't ask for a certificate of no impediment (don't know if they have anything like that there though). That USEM asks for, "Married applicants must obtain an original marriage certificate, or a certified copy, bearing the appropriate seal or stamp of the issuing authority."

I take this to mean that if they did a nikah, they would have had to register it at a civil court for it to be considered legal.

Even if they didn't abuse the K-1, she abused the I-485 where they asked about intentions of espionage or murder. What is wrong with the world? I can't imagine even thinking this, let alone plan and prepare! This guy was talking to people that he KNEW he would murder in a matter of hours!

If he became all radicalized back in 2014 you think it would have raised some red flags with family and friends. But at the press conference they stated that they had no clue! And they looked really taken by it all!

On the marriage thing....at another press conference the police stated that she entered in 2014 and that they were not married at that time.

I just wonder where their baby is! The police said they didn't know the whereabouts of the 6 month old baby...

OMG! Hate terrorists....why normal people have to suffer because of them. Do anyone think US government might stop issuing K-1 visas? It's not fair to normal people(((((

K-1 one is the most secure way for government to see the background of people. They should better look more into DV green card lottery.

And how they can tighten up K-1 process? it's still tight, only if they are going to remove K-1 visas at all?

The K-1 is in legislation. To change it would take an act of Congress, which isn't a euphemism without reason. I doubt it will go away. VWP exposes the US more as the attackers in Paris had European passports (except for one).

The FBI press conference said she entered on a Pakistani passport, with a K1 visa. That she wasn't his wife then, but was at the time of yesterdays murders. The baby, they left with his mother.

I hope so. This terror attack has nothing with K-1 visa, the terrorists may leak to any country using any way, no matter how much it tighten. It's only complicating the whole process to normal people.
