Preserve and Protect God in Military Oaths Act of 2015. Prohibits any change from being made, except by Act of or authorization by Congress, to the military oaths required for: (1) original appointment as a regular commissioned officer, regular warrant officer, or reserve officer; (2) enlistment in the Armed Forces or National Guard; or (3) admission to a U.S. military service academy.

LOL thanks for fixing. Yes, he wants the program suspended until a national security risk panel can review it & report its findings to Congress. If that happens, expect at least a 2-5 year suspension. He will likely not find any support for this. He's apparently just trying to get national recognition. I say that because I didn't know he existed until today & I've lived in TX my whole life.

so, his reasoning for suspending all k1s until congress votes to reverse it..is that ONE PERSON was able to enter the country out of ALLLLLLLLLLL the k1s that arrive. daily.

You're exactly right. This is why I say he will garner no support for his act. DV lottery & VWP are much bigger threats than K-1. Just when you look at it by #s approved. As far as VWP, there is no approval. A "terrorist" who is not watch-listed because he's a new terrorist could came straight in & stay 90 days if he follows the law & he would slide right under the radar as he carries out his plot. Meanwhile, heavily scrutinized K-1 applicants are actually reviewed by several individuals. Seems to me like the real issue is not being addressed.

indeed. but to the general public who has probably never even heard of a k1 - it sounds like this bill would be doing something productive, something to keep us all safe. knee jerk reactions and sound bite ready solutions..

True. The gen public will jump all over this bill, thinking they will stop all future terrorists coming on K-1s. And that's true. It would do that. But it would do nothing to oppose terrorists who can get here through much less scrutiny. And those are the ones I really worry about.
