My wife (whom I married 2 months ago through court) published her name in a newspaper to have her last name changed to my name.

So while submitting the I-130 and 325A forms, can we submit a copy of the newspaper that displays my wife's last name as my own last name? Or that's not bona fide enough? What else do we do if we can't use the newspaper thing?

She's also getting a new passport in which she'll change her last name to my last name. Do we need to submit this to USCIS? Or the passport with her new last name is not really necessary at this point? Does it matter if we submit a copy of the front page of her biographical info of her passport to USCIS even if it's still showing her maiden name? Or she doesn't need to submit a copy of her passport at all?

I believe you'll need evidence of proving a bona-fide marriage/relationship -- chats, call logs, pictures etc. not just last name change.

I'm assuming that your wife is abroad and so you probably don't have co mingling of finances.

You'll need it at the NVC stage. Not when filing the I-130 but, once the I-130 has been approved.
