Pentagon Will Open All Combat Roles to Women

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/04/us/politics/combat-military-women-ash-carter.html?emc=edit_na_20151203&nlid=60392743&ref=cta&_r=0

Defense Secretary Ashton B. Carter on Thursday announced that the Pentagon will open all combat roles in the military to women.

The Pentagon put out a mandate in January 2013 to integrate women into all combat jobs by 2016 or justify exemptions.

Mr. Carter said that, after the review, the Army, Navy, Air Force and Special Operations Command agreed that all combat positions should be open to qualified women. “There will be no exceptions,” he said at a news conference.

Only the Marine Corps, he said, requested some exemptions.

But Mr. Carter said he overruled the Marines to open all combat positions to women because the military should operate under a common set of standards.

Did the female terrorist yesterday show that women can handle weapons?

I don't see any issue as long as they don't lower the standard for them to pass!

They already have

I can also tell you from personal command experiance, that having mixed sex units in a tactical environment causes issues. Not blaming one side or the other.

Have you ever served in a combat arms unit

Yah, we should only send men to die in combat

And in all seriousness if female soldiers are captured by radical Islamic groups, that will not turn out well for them as they will be raped and added to the harem.

It also seems that the military is being used as a social experiment
