Hi C&I,and thank you for sending the link, but that only works for the recent arrivals when they decided to do away with the clutter of paper and stamps. We tried it before with my family visa number and my passport and nothing since it was back in the early 90s.

If they say the port of entry stamp on the nonimmigrant visa is not enough then we'll have to pay them an extra $330 for an I-201 if they can find it in their files within the 87 day time penalty they gave in the RFE. Otherwise, we will have to send them another $1,490 and start over. We have read the forums and they do this sort of thing to families and then they still deny the legitimate marriage.

The issue is that I won't actually be moving into our new place until the 31st because we are making a road trip out of a cross country move.

I've set up a mail-forwarding address with USPS but not sure how long it usually takes them to forward mail?

Does anyone know a timeframe between receiving the appointment notice and the date of the actual appointment?

The time frame I had between receiving the notice and the appointment date was 1 week.

OK, this sounds difficult. Maybe you should ask members here who are more experienced. I'm sure it happened before and other people can advise you on what to do.

Let us know how things proceed and Good Luck!!

Really?

So I wouldn't receive EAD and AP but directly a Green Card if the interview goes well?

I thought EAD and AP are sent to the applicant first since it takes longer to get the Green Card.... Anyone else experience that?

This happened to me and I am wondering the same thing!!! You will get an interview scheduled within a week.. that happened to me. I filed nov 26 and today they said my interview is feb 16!! but nothing changed with EAD. It still says waiting on the letter or whatever....

I want my EAD!!!! I thought i would get it this week.

Hi Caliliving,

I made some research and I saw other profiles in here who received their EAD right before the interview, so basically, they received everything almost at the same time. I guess this is how USCIS proceeds sometimes.

Your interview is soon, you will get it! May I ask you what was the time frame between the USCIS status "case ready for interview..." and the day your received your interview date?

Thanks

Hello Dec filers...

So our case was received Dec 17 and checks cashed Dec 22 ....but no biometrics appt notice ...I call a few weeks ago and they said I had to wait 30 days from Dec 17

I called yesterday and they have put in a "request " as to why....and told me if I still don't receive my Biometrics appointment then to call them again in another 30 days!!

When we received our NOA's there was an error on one of them - they had an incorrect birthyear ..we called to have it corrected and then received another NOA stating the error was corrected...this was completely their fault ....but think it has slowed down our process

Anyone else had similar experience?

Good day C&I- We called the national center and the officer said she couldn't confirm nor deny that our information was lost when the I-485 was transferred to a different office. She did say that an arrival stamp from the officer of port of entry on a nonimmigrant visa such as my family visa in this case, should be more than enough proof of legal entry even if the I-94 was lost. They receive cases like this especially from those before the I-94 was issued electronically.

We are sending off all the copies once again. This has become a frustrating journey.

Tucker8489 there is a distinct possibility that your case is delayed due to their error. I doubt it will be long delay.

We are experiencing issues with one of the offices. There's a chance they lost our information so we are having to resubmit a lot of information. So far the EAD is listed as processing while everything else is on halt from this issue.

I hope you get your biometrics in the next few days.

Wishing us luck on this journey.

Bugg ,

Our Biometrics notice came in the mail today ! - But I find it frustrating that when I called yesterday to inquire they couldn't have told me that - so it doesn't surprise me they lose documents as well.....it's very hard to be patient when they make so many mistakes

Good luck to you

Yes, make sure you send again copies of everything they need and I'm sure the second time will be the good one ;) Sometimes we have to do things twice in order to get what we want.. Yes this journey can be frustrating and stressful.

I wish a great outcome! On my side, nothing new. I'm waiting on an case's update on their website or hopefully a mail with the interview date (that's what the website says).

Keep us posted

Got my biometrics notice as well! :)

It's scheduled for the 28th, however I am moving on the 27th so I am hoping I can just walk in and explain my situation and then hopefully have my fingerprints taken on the spot.

Great!!
