Yes it's normal. It usually says "Ready for interview" until the visa is actually being processed. When they start processing it, your case will change to "Administrative processing"...then within a few days it will change to "Issued". It won't be ready for pick up the same day it changes to issued, but it's supposed to be ready soon after that. Our interview was November 18th (approved). Our case changed to administrative processing a couple days later, and on November 22nd in the evening it changed to issued. We're still waiting for the passport to be available for pick up.

Thank you I feel much better

But if it said issued on November 22 why you haven't picked up your passport yet today is dec the 3rd

After it's issued, it has to be sent out for pick up. It only became ready for pick up today... 16 days since interview, 11 days from "issued" it was finally available for my husband to go get it. Maybe it took so long due to the embassy being totally swapped with Yemeni cases. But then again, I've read every post in VJ that could find concerning the days others waited between "issued" and "ready for pick up" and sooo many people have waited at least as long as we have. Some people wait much longer.
