My mother is our AOS joint sponsor I sent in a copy of my birth paper but failed to send a copy of her birth paper will that hold up our process to move forward?

I don't think so.

I think what will be required is the following:

____ Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) for each applicant from the petitioner. Affidavits of Support must be original signed versions; copies of signatures are not acceptable. The sponsor must also provide the most recent tax return (Form 1040, and the most recent W2 wage statement if the return is a joint return). If you are submitting documents from a "Joint Sponsor", you will also need to provide a photocopy of the biographic page of their passport, Certificate of Naturalization or both sides of their Alien Registration (Green) Card. Your sponsor(s) may have submitted these documents to the National Visa Center prior to your interview, but you may wish to bring copies in case any documents are missing.

You don't need to send in a copy of her birth certificate unless its to prove that she's a US Citizen. As long as you sent in a copy of either her US passport or if she's a GC holder, a copy of her green card, then it should be fine.

I guess I maybe over thinking it because, after reading the papers over and over then submitted them I sent no identification for her in the packet beside the I-864 and her IRS tax transcripts for 2012, 2013 and 2014

I don't think so.

If you haven't sent in any proof that she's a legal resident of the US (US birth certificate, US passport, or green card) then you'll most likely receive a checklist for it.

We are both born US citizens and my mother doesn't have a passport so, I guess at this point I will just send in if I get an RFE from them but, will send my husband a copy of my mother's birth paper.
