Hi! I had my interview last Monday and CO said documents are good and did not give me anything aside from a women's right brochure. Here is my timelime.

Nov. 30 - Interview

Nov. 30 - READY case open

Dec. 02 - Admistrative Processing

I read online that Administrative Processing is also a refusal? (Hope not) is it true? Is this status normal? The more I read online the more I worry. Please help!

AP is not a refusal; it simply means that Additional Processing is needed. This could be them looking into the bonafide's of your relationship, or doing extra name/ security checks, or the CO is new and needs his supervisor to look at the case before issuing the visa, or the visa printing machine is out of ink.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Thank you for the info. Is this status normal? And how long does it normally take?

It's less common in the Philippines but it is not unusual.

There is really no timeline for this, could be a week, a month, or even longer. If they kept your passport, it is a good sign that they expect it to be short.

Your visa cannot expire, it has not been issued yet. If your AP lasts so long that your medical expires, you may be required to re-do it, but as mentioned, in most cases, AP lasts a few weeks only.

Congratz on your approval...!

So far, your case is normal. Now you can relax and wait for the text from 2GO that tells you your visa packet is on the way. It usually takes a week or two, sometimes a little longer.

Thank you Tahoma! After my experience with SLEC - Sputum scare (turned negative. The suspicious cloud-like they saw is phlegm) with two months delay I can't help but worry. Vj community really helps a lot :)
