You know someone who has a machine gun?

What is a non military machine gun?

My school had a shooting range and CCF etc so they were around, no idea what the situation is now.

But I agree about just letting the bad guys have guns does not seem that logical.

It is not uncommon to see the types of guns that were found on the killer's person, owned by those in this town. How legally they have obtained them or how much money they dropped on them, I don't know.

All sorts of interesting things pop up on the gun ranges too.

They are not deceased? I have no trouble calling them terrorists if that proves to be the motive for this incident.

You, for such a self described super genius, sure failed to comprehend what I wrote.

I don't and did not say I thought feeling harassed for being a Muslim is a justification for becoming Radicalized. I said clearly that it could be a factor in the irrational thinking of the, prior to this incident responsible American gun owner, who happened to also be Muslim. So if the religious harassment angle turns out to be true then my statements stand up as possible motivation leading up to this mass shooting.

Pretending to be bothered by statements I did not make is a disingenuous way to avoid my ultimate question. Why is this horrific mass shooting more horrific than the other bi-monthly mass shooting events the US experiences, even if the motivation proves to be Islamic Extremism?

Why do you ask questions you already know the answers to? Because the shooters were allegedly Muslims. You know just like I do, nothing gets a thread started than a minority based shooting. The PP thread barely made it to page 2 since the killer turned out to be a religious extremist, but he wasn't the right one, you need Islam to get the party going. Or have an excess of Melanin.

There are threads here that folks won't even post in until they find out for sure what the killer is.

Cheapie one for $500 assuming they are what I think. Nice for a Grand.

I am more interested in your machine gun comment as I know no one who has one.

it's more the president's job to keep the public calm until the facts come in. why ya'll think the POTUS is supposed to stand there on national television and say IT WAS TERRORISM, LOOK AT THEIR NAMES is beyond me. swear to god, trump becomes potus and this country is going to be super hard to tell a part from the WWE.

But yet he had no problem jumping on guns right away or blaming a terror attack on a film maker . I could go on

What's the difference between guns and Islam? Because in my mind, neither one can do any harm unless a human being is involved. So why do guns get a pass but not Islam. One's a weapon, the other a religion. Equally dangerous depending on whose using them.

I agree . Are you suggesting we should do background checks on and register all Muslims also ?

pretty sure everyone knew a gun was being used right away. that was the only thing anyone knew right away.

anyway, i'm not going to get into an argument about obama, my comment wasn't about obama per se but about how we expect the potus to react in the first moments that events are unfolding to the public via media.

I agree . Are you suggesting we should do background checks on and register all Muslims also ?

what? do you really stand behind that?

Nope, just pointing out the hypocrisy of ignoring one and focusing on the other.

Don't you have some stats to look up?

What you call a machine gun and what I may call a 'machine gun' is different. When I refer to a machine gun I refer to a military type weapon such as an AR15 or assault rifle with high capacity magazines and extra clips. But it makes little difference to me.

We also have those types around here I'd define as probably KKKers that hoard all sorts of things for whatever reason, I don't care to think about either.

Here's an interesting guy that was arrested this week. That's a nice stash of bullets he had there...

you can call an AR a machine gun if you want, but that doesn't mean it is one.

btw, rifles mostly use magazines, very few use clips. the difference is a magazine has a spring, a clip does not.
