Just watching the White House Press conference.

Obama thinks this might be a terrorist incident.

Clueless.

I hope your big picture hasn't made you miss the big picture.

not at all.....

Multiple sources including ABC News and the New York Post have reported that Syed Rizwan Farook had two online profiles on Muslim themed dating websites where he described himself as “very liberal” politically.

I've always been honest about what I think should be done for effective gun control. There are certain weapons i don't believe the general public should have access to.

Okay so lets drop that part and get back to the question I asked.

Ok so as to needed and wanting - I enjoy the history and the mechanical nuiances the most...thats more the want side I guess.

On the need side, there are alot of little niches to fill like what to carry when hiking in black bear territory etc.

Completely understandable and reasonable imo.

So is it unreasonable for the average gun owner to be limited in the amount of weapons and the types of guns he can have? By "types", I mean in the semi-auto category.

Semi Auto category I would imagine is the majority? A significant percentage anyway.

So who is going to come and take them?

Semiauto is pretty invaluable in a self defense situation, so I would say thats unreasonable.

I think the quantity of firearms per person is also unreasonable. I can't shoot more than one gun at a time and I can't really carry more than 2.

Idk, most people I've seen will say a shotgun is the best choice for self defense. What scenario in everyday life would a semi-auto be needed for self defense that a regular gun couldn't handle.

But realistically how many do you really need? I mean a couple shotguns a couple rifles and a couple handguns should be about enough for most, no?

The best self defense shotguns IMO are semi auto - Boiler and Charles will actually disagree with me here I think. I suspect they would advocate for a pump action. However in a high intensity situation I believe there is more opportunity for user error with a pump.

Outside of shotguns and revolvers, a non semiauto means bolt or singleshot.
