Well, I think that a well regulated militia doesn't really apply anymore, unless you and the rest of the gun owners here have are card carrying members of one for starters.

But yet they chose the guns first and foremost. Wonder why? Could it be because guns are the quickest and easiest way to kill? It is much more difficult to obtain explosives, make a bomb and actually use it successfully than it is to purchase guns and use them to kill.

Here's the thing that I think you (not just you, but many others, as well) are missing... all religions have a history of violence. History tells us that. But islam is the only religion that I know of that is currently preaching death to infidels. As in today, and tomorrow. And there are some who take it to heart, obviously. There are a lot of islamic people out that who think it is their fate to kill an infidel. A Westerner. Us. And because it is current, and because it is so obvious due to technology, it strikes more concern, fear even, in the hearts of people who are clearly targeted by such a threat.

Not too many christians out there preaching death to any particular group of people. Are there christian wackos? Sure. But how many times in the past month have you seen pics or videos of christians professing a desire to kill large groups of people? It's not a "thing", a way of life, as it seems to be with islam.

If you can't see that, I am sorry for you.

But if they're Christian does that mean it's a connection to Christ? Dear was a prime example of this, but there's no call to call him a Christian terrorist, even though there's evidence he attacked PP due to his warped interpretation of the Bible.

You really have a hard time with this, don't you? Even if you got rid of the 2nd amendment, the people who desire to kill with guns will still do so. Guns are not the problem. Hatred inside the heart is the problem. Good people who own guns don't kill. It's really that simple.

Amending the 2nd will never remove hatred nor criminal intent. I am willing to bet that you know that. And I would also be willing to bet that you own a gun.

That's the problem. Because this country flat out refuses to look at amending the 2nd, these deaths will continue to be considered the cost of doing business.
