Yeap just got an update from USPS, the green card package has just arrived Atlanta, its in sorting facility, will prob reach tmr!

My husband was on off day today, I was hoping that I can at least update bank and SSA with green card, didn't expect the mail to be delayed! Now I have to wait for his next off weekday which is next week! How inconvenient! We only have one car I thought its supposed to be 2 day priority mail, looks like its delaying!

EAP/AP approved two days after the ombudsman told me the submitted an inquiry to USCIS on my behalf. Now I can talk to all these recruiters calling me.

Yes, we are a Dallas, Texas filer and have the GC. The field office dates are reported 2 months behind and are probably close to realistic. Dallas is showing that as of January 31, 2016, they were working on I-485's from March 13, 2015. That's 10 months and 19 days! Right now, Houston was working on July 2, 2015 I-485 cases, which is only 6 months and 30 days (214 days). If we factor that into your timeline, you have been waiting 3 months and 23 days (114 days). This means that you only have about 200 days or until October 22, 2016 if you need to wait for an interview and the Houston processing time remains constant.

But I remember the days when the TSC was processing K-1 petitions. It would have one date for the service center processing times, and some were approved ahead of that time frame and some were approved after...or way after.

In other words, you may not have an interview at all since you arrived on a K-1. Yay!

Thanks. Well I certainly hope I don't have to have an interview like many here have enjoyed, it would make things a whole lot easier. The more time goes on the more I feel like I could be lined up for an interview though, as most here either got the GC straight away or had it issued very shortly after their EAD/AP was issued. I feel like that prospect for me is drifting away each day. Obviously gracious to at least have EAD/AP finally, but would like to see this brought to a *green* conclusion sooner than later, but wouldn't we all?!

I think I remember the TSC K-1 petition drama you refer to, in fact my K-1 was diverted to California and processed a lot faster than if it were stuck in the TX backlog. Shame they don't seem to be doing the same for AOS/GC applications!!

Does anyone know how a RFIE on I-485 impacts the timeline? I have heard it completely resets it. Does that mean I must wait quietly for 5-7 months from the date USCIS received my response? The status says 'response received' and has not yet moved to 'review of response.'

No it doesn't resets the timeline, it resumes from where it stopped i had a request for initial evidence and i responded about a month after then it took about a week or two later i got an update that my case is ready to be scheduled for an interviewso i guess u won't have to wait 5-7 months like u said,but just so u know there is no definite criteria to know exactly how the uscis hadnle each case, some delay unnecessarily while some do not.so just hope for the best.

No AOS interview yet, no greencard approval. Nothing from USCIS' end.

Do we just wait, is there something else we need to do?

I'm just not sure what to do at this point since I'm seeing so many others getting their green cards already.

Same boat. No updates on AOS yet, either. I was going to give USCIS a call on Monday to ask.

Houston TX seems pretty backlogged right now so I don't hold a great deal of hope for a quick turnaround from this point. Part of me thinks if I was going to bypass the interview process straight to GC production it probably would have happened already. Feels like I'm in a queue for processing and interview scheduling.

I'm on the same boat.. Already more than 2 months since I last received an update on my AOS

saying it's ready to schedule an interview.

Going to call on Monday but I don't think that's going to help much.

Anyone has any idea if I can submit a service request for this as well (i-485)?
