okay , so i guess i don't have to worry about the lease then right i will just explain to the officer the same thing that i can't get on anything unless i get my GC

it really depends on your officer TandL, its hard to say. Every case is different, we did provide lease agreement and rental and other bills with both names.

Are u able to try again to put ur name in lease by providing landlord ur EAD like what I did?

Cos i believe most likely they will ask for house(property) or lease agreement

Maybe u should ask others for advices instead on that. I really dont want you to get into some issues with it. Hope everything goes well for u!

I think your baby is better evidence than a lease! We couldn't add my husband to our lease either, even after paying the application fee and them knowing he had no SSN at the time of applying to add him. We are seeking to move in another three months, so hopefully we will get that evidence then.

It really sounds like your list should be good for the officer. Let us know how it goes!

I had my InfoPass appointment today and I am pretty sure it was not all that useful. I was told my background check cleared 2 months ago and it's just a matter of completing the paper work and that I can expect approval within the next month :halloween:

That was not very reassuring. I was hoping there would be something I could do.

I guess more waiting.

that sounds good i am having much relief we were able to get my name on the electricity bill today but for the lease there is no way untill i get the GC.we were told not to bring any children unless requested but since we just had a baby and he is only 3 months old and we can't keep him at home all by himself and we don't have anyone who is readily available to watch him while we are gone so i guess we are going to bring him to the interview, will this be an issue since they said not to bring any children unless requested?

That's nuts. So everything that needed to get done was finished before February came, but no one has gotten to it? So they just completely ignored your service requests rather than actually looking at your case file? Can you file another service request until they actually do something?

I already filed 3 which closed without any progress. I will wait for the congressman follow up before asking the ombudsman for help with this. Does not make much sense since background check is completed already. He told me the officer assigned to my case might be too busy :sleepy: .

Not fun at all.

Hey TandL, I'm not sure about your field office, you might want to call and ask.

But in Atlanta field office, we seen ALOT of couples bringing their babies, not IN THE INTERVIEW ROOM but outside waiting area. They were behind my queue, so I didn't get to see if they went in with the baby or not.

However, its not safe to put your baby alone outside the interview room too. Probably try to call them and ask.

Too busy to do their job? Too busy to get to your case in two months!!! Two weeks, I can understand, sure. But two months! You may want to try to light a fire under the Congressional aide too. I would do this in a polite manner by updating them on the results of your InfoPass. Let them know that your case seems to have been ready for approval for over 60 days and your attempts at three service requests have been closed without resolution. Maybe that fresh information will get them to actually call the USCIS?

If I were in your position, I would even try an expedite on the grounds of USCIS error. I would include all those 'closed' letters of the service requests and let them know that these were completed in error. You may not have such a strong position for expedite, as I tend to believe that an expedite can be hard to get, but it will at least give you a chance for an officer to pick up your case. You will even get another piece of paper to show the Ombudsman. I suggest that first because I have heard from the March 2015 K-1 TSC filers (God bless those poor souls!) that the Ombudsman was useless in their situation. I still think you should reach out to them if need be (but hopefully it's not needed!)

Gosh, I hope this ends in a GC for you shortly! Oy vey!
