I've got 3 text messages, and 2 hardcopy NOAs (one EAD, one AOS)

While I'm not 100% sure, I would venture to say that you will get your AP NOA in a separate envelop within a day or two. Keep us posted!!

yeah cos its weird to receive two mails and one missing. Hopefully its going to come soon. I thought I missed out a letter and I dug the trash where i threw my ads earlier..haha

Did you get three texts/emails? With all three receipt numbers? If it's a case of one missing hardcopy and you don't get it within their timeframe you can file a request online for a replacement. Provided you got notification with all three receipt numbers you should be fine. Don't forget to check your case status online ?

Yeah like I said above earlier, I've received 3 sms/text notifications and email notifications. They come in 3 different receipt numbers with MSC in front. I checked my online status and it says the same thing that I will be receiving them. It is strange to get two only. Where do I request online for replacement? I have a deadline till 6 Jan though. Should I call them tomorrow or wait till 6 Jan? Will it affect biometrics if AP letter missing?

If you've signed up to myUSCIS it can be beneficial to get updates. If your deadline is Jan 6th then if you get nothing by then you should be able to request a new one. But a hardcopy is really just that. They obviously have your case considering you got all three electronic confirmations and have all three receipt numbers. So I wouldn't worry too much.

Not 100% sure about the biometrics but I imagine they link the biometrics up to your A number, name, receipt number etc. The hardcopy is just a paper copy of what you've already received really. Nice to have for peace of mind but no major issue with not having it as it doesn't grant anything

Oh God, thanks for the comfort! Now I feel so much relieved. I'll see in few days if anything comes. Yeah I did sign up for the notifications and ticked Y but I didn't get any updates lol..

Just got done reading all those 8 previews pages lol

now are my questions!:

Going to jump in on this as I'm preparing my forms before our wedding (Dec 18th!) so we can just enjoy the holidays afterwards! This thread has already been helpful as it's saved me from needlessly filling out the i-693 form!!

I do have a quick question though... my fiance and I are getting married in a courthouse here in California with his family as witnesses (so it's no secret), but we plan to have a 'proper' church wedding back in England in a year or so (when we can afford it!) so all my elderly and extended family and friends can come celebrate with us. I ideally don't want to change my name until after our 'proper' wedding to make it feel as authentic as possible... I do intend to take his name and have declared so on our marriage license. Should I file for AOS with my married or my maiden name? I plan to be known as my maiden name for another year or two yet but does that really matter? It all seems a bit petty when you spell it out like this, but I'm not quite ready to let go of my maiden name yet!

We are doing the same, but we are having the wedding in Taiwan with my family (not including my friends in Argentina, where I lived for 20 years...)

I hope so, I panicked a little when I saw that the I-485 I submitted Tuesday was considered out of date, glad I checked the CIS website, I was able to sleep last night??

Thank God I read this, and I saw that my I-485 expired! Now need to struggle again, and re file it again, and print it. SMH

14 December: 12.24am - 12.34am received 3 NOA text messages and emails, yipee!!!

All three receipt numbers start with MSC.

(USPS Friday 4 December and received in Chicago Monday 7 December)

Sent in error to:

USCIS
FBAS
131 South Dearborn-3^rd Floor
Chicago, IL 60603-5517

Instead of:

USCIS
P.O. Box 805887
Chicago, IL 60680-4120

But doesn't seem to have delayed the process - phew!!

I copied the first address too.. So it needs to go to the PO Box rather than the other address?
