Gosh, that would be so cool! I'm trying so hard not to think about it, but our envelops were probably in the same batch, so I can't help to be just a wee optimistic! I hope our envelops made friends! Lol! (F)

Expecting yours should come through this morning too, Amhara.

No change in our status yesterday. I was a little disappointed, but if it changes by this Friday, we should be in the same position as if it had changed yesterday.

Warning: Dramatic, pointless story (that popped in my head as I was driving from home) follows. Reader discretion is advised.

I was wondering if you guys used Priority Express and ours was just Priority. The two envelops in the pile restlessly settle into place. My envelop sees your envelop and says, "Hi Hannah&Zach! I'm from Dallas. Where are you from?" Your envelop says, "Hi Amhara! I'm from Sacramento." The conversation lasts into the night as their friendship blooms. They talk about their travels, the wait, and world events. Then, the pile is heaved and all the articles scatter. Our two envelops try to stick close, but it's not long until they can't see each other any longer. They are frightened as they are jostled to and fro, but then things move slower as the envelops are separated into smaller piles and dumped in drawstring burlap sacks. It's warm and dark. "Amhara?" Your envelop hesitantly whispers; fearing the consequences of no response. "Hannah&Zach!!!" My envelop shouts in relief and joy! Despite all odds, they are back together to brave whatever comes what next as two comrades, not fearing anything!

Then, the sack opens and a hand reaches in. Blindly, it grabs Hannah&Zach! "NOOOOOOOO!" the two shout simultaneously. The two ends of their envelop corners try to grasp at each other, barely missing. Hannah&Zach gets taken up into the light and Amhara remains; feeling lost and alone. What happened to it's friend? "I'm not alone. I still have the friendship of Hannah&Zach to get me through this ordeal! I can make it through anything!"

I received my EAD/AP card yesterday while I was on the phone with the nicest USCIS lady ever. I called them to ask for the tracking number so I would make sure my card won't be sent back to USCIS.

Anyway, one of the most common problems, the lady said was most postmen knew who live in a house -and who does not-- . She said I should write my name on the post box so they actually put the envelope in the box.

She said this problem was more common than I thought. Luckly, I did not need to ask for the tracking number =)

But I thought I could share the advice. hope you all get your cards soon too.

Hahahha, if envelopes are able to make friends then I am certain ours will have! Ours was also sent via just Priority, not Priority Express. My thinking is that mine got picked up by an IO that bothers to update the online status and yours probably got picked up (around the same time) by someone who's a bit slack with the online system. Fingers crossed you get your update today! Glad to have an RFE buddy on the same timeline!

Quick question for those who have received their combo cards:
Does it have your address on it? Zach and I moved in January but kept our mailing address as my father-in-law's place as he lives 10 minutes away and won't be moving any time soon and we didn't want to risk a change of address slowing things up (you never know).
However, we probably need our actual address on the combo card if it's included so I would change the address now... Thanks!

We still heard nothing since our biometrics appointment at the 5th February. ?

Case status is still the same, since we received our NOA1s

I think Bariki is in the same situation as you! Not to worry, your approval is probably just around the corner. Have you filed a service request?

Did you apply for EAD/AP? Your timeline doesn't have those two filled in and I was wondering which waiting day you were on?

The immigration cards don't have the address on them. To replace the GC/EAD/AP or the like costs quite a pretty penny. Here's an example of what an EAD/AP looks like:

Yeah, something very much like that. My service requested completed and closed on 23 Feb as "Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action shortly." No change since then.
