Day 82. I can now see things in the 'Case History' of my EAD application from when I created a service request: the request was assigned to an officer; the response was created (boiler plate email); the request was closed.

:ranting:

[Edit] Called the NCSC again and asked to speak to a 'supervisor' (aka, Tier 2). They promised to call back in about 30 minutes. Let's see how that works out.

Same sh*t for me. We have the exact same timeline. created, assigned to officer, closed. :crying:

Why the glum faces? If it's closed, that means that it has been touched! Don't become discouraged until your case status doesn't change tomorrow.

Notice how many cases were approved on Friday, but didn't get their text/email notification until today? I don't think the status message changes instantly. If it's closed, it means that your status will change today or tomorrow, if not later today!!!

Just received an update that EAD has been mailed but was not provided with tracking number. My AOS interview is near on end of March, so probably will only find a job after the interview. I'm so nervous! Btw repeating my previous post question, in the checklist of documents to bring, it says to bring I-693 unless submitted. Is that the sealed envelope that we provided when we arrive US? Because I have my vaccinations fully done with DS3025 form and handed in at arrival. Anyone care to help? Thanks in advance. I have to prepare a whole thick file with 2 of my K1 files, 1 AOS submission file, all over again for the interview. Praying hard that all goes well!

Hi Rach, noticed your in GA too, so we can get driver's license with EAD?

Yup. For sure. I'm just waiting for the card and then I'll be going to do the test ? if you check out the GA dmv website it tells you what documents you need for proofs etc. If you already have a valid foreign driver's license then you can do the tests without needing to have a learners permit!

That "sealed envelope" is from the civil surgeon that does your medical examination. Which, as a K-1 entrant, you won't have because you did your medical overseas. I submitted my DS-3025 along with the AOS packet. If you did the same and had a complete medical done abroad (with no class A conditions found) then you should be all set.

This is my understanding of it anyway. If I'm wrong, someone please tell me now for both our sakes!

You are correct I am just adding that if your medical abroad is valid for 1 year, so if it's not been a year at the time of your interview you should be fine.

Yep, same for me being from the U.K. This is my first time driving in an automatic too. Mainly manuals in England. As long as you have a valid foreign licence it doesn't matter what side you're used to. As long as you can drive and pass the tests you'll be fine.

I've been practicing for the knowledge here in GA and it's real easy compared to the one I had to do back home.

And I noticed GA seems to be moving fast. Hopefully something soon but I'm resting easy since my EAD/AP approval ?

Oh, so just a little light reading. :)

(I bet they don't even look at the majority of it - as per the embassy interview - but of course bring all of it!)
