December 2015 AOS filer status

Yes, ours came tonight too! Ours was only the name issue and while it is requesting items we had previously sent (birth certificates, marriage certificates) I think they were giving us a chance to provide the name change certificate since we mailed the blank name change petition in December. Damn Texas employee who couldn't submit the background check properly!

But since my guy has a doctors appointment tomorrow, we should be able to send this off tomorrow. We sure have been giving the USPS a lot of business lately!!

Well good luck! Hope yours is all sorted ASAP! Having attacked this head on it now seems less daunting and, having already filled in the i-864 form once, it doesn't terrify me like it did the first time!

Now I just need the other half to file his taxes online and chase down the father-in-law for his signature before he goes away for the weekend tomorrow and we have a chance of sending this back tomorrow as well!

Received EAD card yesterday by priority mail (1 week after approval)

Good turnaround, hoping that I have a similar timescale. Did your status change on USCIS prior to the card being shipped? I see you already have an interview scheduled, California seems a lot faster than Texas for processing.

Hi All!

We got approved for my husband's EAD/AP yesterday, both AP and EAD dated for 2/24/2016. No text, no email, no notification, just found out visa the case tracker app this morning. It just says it was approved and they will mail his approval notice. Never say anything about card being produced or mailed. Should we expect an update with that, or maybe just wait for the combo card in the mail within the next week or so?

Congrats. I'm a day prior to your approval and have been wondering the same thing. Does the status change once the card is produced/shipped, or will it just arrive in approx 1 week?

Interesting. I don't recall seeing my status entering a 'new card produced' state, but that phase could have happened between the 5-10 times a day I check USCIS... lol.. or perhaps I haven't entered that stage yet, I'm really not too sure and thought there might be a particular order of notifications. Gotta love how this process keeps you guessing!

It certainly does. I got the 'New Card being produced' status on the 24th and yesterday it jumped to approved. But in my case history it says we ordered your new card. Who knows. I just really want my card ASAP! ?

I'm hoping for the status message to change by March 3rd and we will see if they work on it soon after that or not. Our fingerprints reached the State, so I hope to call them on the 9th and see where they are in that dang report. Hopefully the state and the USCIS will process both these mailings relatively fast!

Everything gathered, collected and sent. Ours should also arrive on Monday! I've noticed a couple of people who've had RFE's seem to get their EAD/AP approval approximately 3 weeks after the USCIS notification that they've received it. Here's to hoping!

Just received both NOA for EAD/AP and AOS for interview with a full list of documents to prepare and bring.

One of which says to bring a completed medical examination of I-693 and vaccination supplement in a sealed envelope (unless already submitted)

Is that the one that we brought over from K1 visa sealed package to Immigrations at checkpoint? Because I remembered mine was DS3025?

Received approval letter for EAD & AP on Saturday. Laid out the usual rules/regs and stated in the letter that the card would come separately. Will wait to see status change again or for the letter with the card to arrive in due course.

So within four days the I-797 came? I know when we get that, we can use that form to get my husband's TX DL extended. That's good to know!

Yup, quick turnaround for the letter, I was surprised to receive it so quickly. Hopefully the card will be here at some point next week. I suspect the I-797 is good for new licences then if its fine for renewals? At least that's something I can get on with now and of course finally start applying for jobs

Me too. Text & email both received this morning. Actually says they sent it on the 25th Feb, a day after approval.
