December 2015 AOS filer status

I suppose, just sucks that it went this way and not the other way. The next week is going to be me frantically wracking my brains trying to figure out what I missed out or did wrong Just hoping that it doesn't delay our EAD/APs too much!!

Sometimes you don't do anything wrong. They just miss a document or find a document "insufficient" while it actually is listed on DOS web site as "available" and "sufficient". And you just need to "teach" them their job.

Still cannot avoid getting a RFIE. been there done that.

So I guess with the stopping and pausing of everything with the RFIE on our 485 it actually puts us on Day 60 if I'm right, hoping that by the end of February we hear some good news....

We got an update from our RFIE Finally. We submitted back what they asked around the beginning of this month.

Today they gave us an update saying ready to be scheduled for an interview,and we will be sent a notice with an interview date.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get this notice?

Sometimes a month, sometimes 6, sometimes longer. Depends on your local office's backlog and a dollop of luck. Some here have been scheduled for next month, I believe. Edited February 20, 2016 by bariki

NOA1 for I-765 Notice Date of 12/24 and Received Date of 12/11.

Receipt number starting with MSC.

Up until now no Biometrics Schedule from USCIS and also no changes on their website.

How I wish atleast get a permit to practice on how to drive and not waste valuable time while waiting...

I had my permit for about 2 months before it expired in December. Can't wait to get back to driving now

My status was updated in a week from Ready to be Scheduled for Interview to Interview Is Scheduled. In about 3 days I received letter with interview time and other details

I know we're not sure but from what I've read I think an RFIE on my i-485 only pauses the EAD/AP processing time and doesn't renew it... In which case, what kind of delays should I expect? 2 weeks? 3 weeks? a month? I have a job waiting for me but feel like I'm now messing them about. I know it's not my fault but every delay is another embarrassing phone call for me to make. I just want any kind of estimated time frame to give them!

We are now in the same boat. We got an RFIE for our EAD/AP!!!! No!!!!! We could have been approved today!!!! Dang!!!!!!!

Now we will need to wait for that stupid forever letter. Our GC status hasn't change (yet) so maybe it's something simple with the EAD/AP. We didn't sent biographical forms for just those two initially, so we mailed the forms a few days after we got the NOA's. Hopefully it's not for that because they should already have that. Gosh, maybe something with the name? I don't know...we will just have to wait and see...

I filed in the beginning of December and now my wife's EAD card is in production as of today. w00t!

We were pretty bummed about the RFE. I was working from home, so after that, we sat on the couch and ate some ice cream. Later we had some good luvin', so now we feel normal waiting for the next step!

I definitely dreamt that I got my ead/ap approved and my interview scheduled for June 10th. Now hopefully some of that comes true soon
