Lol! Don't worry, bariki! I tell my husband all the time to enjoy these days because soon he will need the alarm clock! I have mixed emotions about requesting the EAD. On one hand we can move forward with this immigration process, but on the other, my hubby is gonna be looking for jobs, job interviews, choosing work schedules. I hope he doesn't get a bad work schedule somewhere. :( Then what about weekends? *sigh* It's bittersweet, I suppose... But soon we will all be busy with more case status checking, asking about if the EAD/AP card will be combo, what does this letter mean, what does that status mean, more visits to governmental offices and the like. I tell my husband that he will miss these days that we have now. Hopefully not too much, but this is a good time we are having!

Having been out of work since mid-October, I'm rather looking forward to getting back into the game. However, I'm sure that soon after I will look back on these halcyon days of limbo and wish it could be so again. ^_^

Poor husband. He is so going to be doing more housework once I'm not here during the day.

So this means that EAD/AP petitions re-start the 90 day window if the RFIE was for the AOS only?

I'm not sure. I read it as it stops but then restarts when they receive the info they wanted, if it is based on a pending I-485, compared to the EAD not being based on a pending I-485. Considering all of the people's timelines I've followed and am currently following on VJ, getting an RFE for I-485 initial evidence hasn't seemed to slow the approval of the EAD down much if at all. Most people seem to be approved within the 90 day timeframe. The wording in that article is particularly misleading, the fact that it doesn't say start over for the EAD with RFE for pending I-485 is what gave me the impression it doesn't and the fact that timelines on here have shown that starting over may not be the case, I could be reading it totally wrong but USCIS do what they want regardless I think.

For an AOS RFIE:

"..the clock for your Form I-765 will stop when USCIS issues the request for evidence and restart when USCIS receives the requested information."

So does restart mean 'resume' (from where the clock was at the time of the RFIE, say, Day 60) or 'start over' from Day 1? How delightfully vague. I would be inclined to interpret 'restart' as 'resume'.

UPDATE!!! Well it looks like getting an RFIE does NOT impact getting an EAD or Green Card issued. I'm thinking this is for the EAD, but the status doesn't specifically say say. This receipt number never worked for us until today. The case status website says it's for the I-765, but I noticed some people in the past had their Green Card's issued with this status. Hoping for a Green Card soon, but thankfully it will at least be an EAD card until we have the interview. The I-130 receipt # still doesn't work. The I-485 receipt # still says ready of interview.

New Card Is Being Produced

On February 16, 2016, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC###########, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

The NOA should say what form it's related to. I'm guessing this is your EAD since you've got an interview coming up.

Marvelous news. :)

Great news. I received an RFIE and responded some weeks ago. Hopefully it won't delay my case too long.

Btw, if the case number is associated with i485 then it is your GreenCard. if the case number is associated with the i765 then it is your EAD ;)
