Has anyone transferred the credit hours so far,or planning to do so after green card stuff?

Or

anyone planning with further study(i.e full time/part time/weekend) & knowz how to proceed with this.

Regards

If you have college credit earned in a foreign university, you will need to get your official transcripts evaluated. There are many companies that offer this service and we are going to get this done sometime next month or in April. The college my husband goes to has a list of companies they will accept reports from. (https://www.dcccd.edu/Emp/Departments/EA/TS/forStudents/Pages/ForCredEvals.aspx)

I have noticed that these companies often offer three types of reports - one that is affordable, one that is reasonable, and one that is much higher than I want to pay. I think the last one is the one that's needed, but my husband will ask the college's admission office which report is needed before we send the application and money order.

@Amhara,

I'm in a similar situation, I'm wondering why though it is good news? We were hoping to receive the EAD prior to GC as a GC can sometimes take a long time. Am I misunderstanding something?

I have been trying to crack the 'USCIS case number code' when work is slow and I have met with some success. This has allowed me to make a spreadsheet of come MSC cases that seem to revolve around family petitions/AOS. I have a variety of date ranges (because my date experiments brought me these case numbers) and the cases that I have that were received October 20th-30th have been overwhelmingly "touched" with the majority of EAD's approved in January.

The VJ estimate is that EAD cases received about November 24th are currently being worked on, given the estimates. I have a list of about 91 cases, which includes about 50 of these cases being valid (open) EAD cases. Well, there has been much activity this week and November 25th seems to have been the last day of November 2015 worked given the holiday. So, of these 50 EAD cases, about 16 of these have been approved.

Compared to my other date range samples, my case list from November 25, 2015 has a lot more EAD cases. I don't know if this will affect us December filers. I don't know if this will cause a bit of a back log for us, if this is just an abnormality in my sample, or if these cases will have no bearing on our team being processed at all. At any rate, I think the VJ estimates are pretty darn close to what is happening. Some are being processed faster and some are being processed slower, but it's a pretty good average in my opinion.

If you are successful at interview I am under the impression that the GC doesn't take very long to be issued. It all depends when your interview is scheduled for. If it is scheduled for months from now you will probably be issued with the EAD/AP card in the meantime, that's the whole purpose of it.

By being granted an interview within the EAD/AP processing timeframe, F&B (assuming they are successful) will not require an EAD/AP card because they will become a GC holder and gain all the rights that come along with that.

If you have an interview scheduled for the AOS, then chances are that the GC will be approved during the interview or a few days after the interview. I doubt the USCIS will approve the EAD/AP before the scheduled interview, but I suppose it could happen. The positive thing about having an interview scheduled is that you don't need to wait an wonder like the majority of GC petitioners - you have a specific date to look forward to and have a great chance of getting the GC sooner rather than at an unknown time!

What an extensive research. I hope USCIS will start working on December filers tomorrow.
