I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets excited about the most menial tasks!

Some of the highlights of my day is going to get the mail from the mailbox, or taking the trash outside.

Meanwhile, spouse is being sportive to my cooking experiments I am doing and probably prays hard secretly for me to get the EAD and get out of the house soon!! :P

Mine looked at me in astonished exasperation last night when I, not entirely paying attention, reached into the cupboard to grab what I thought was a jar of crushed red peppers and sprinkled some on a pizza. Only, it wasn't crushed red peppers, it was cinnamon. Jars looked the same at a glance, I swear! -_-

I completely agree to what you wrote, mdcatelli!

My brain seems to rust a bit day-by-day-waiting-for-news-on-EAD/GC! -_-

Meanwhile, spouse is being sportive to my cooking experiments I am doing and probably prays hard secretly for me to get the EAD and get out of the house soon!! :P

I'm sure my husband is loving having dinner ready for him each day when he gets home. And i'm sure he will miss it when I am back at work. I am getting pretty good at following recipes.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets excited about the most menial tasks!

Some of the highlights of my day is going to get the mail from the mailbox, or taking the trash outside.

I love checking the mail. It is a weird obsession of mine, I swear. Some days it is the only time I get out. Alex (hubby) thinks that I should just get a job at the post office since I love it so much.

That is hilarious. The real question is, how did it taste?

LOL!

At my place, I went overboard trying recipes containing mushrooms as ingredients (soups, noodles etc) over a few days. All was unplanned! Poor guy now requests me to keep away from the mushrooms in the supermarket! ;)

I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets excited about the most menial tasks!

Some of the highlights of my day is going to get the mail from the mailbox, or taking the trash outside.

My cleaning has become borderline obsessive. I'm not a messy person anyway but I'm driving my partner mad with all the hoovering, dusting and laundry I'm doing. Though he has admitted that he does appreciate coming home to dinner cooked for him and a clean house. That will soon come crashing down as soon as I start working.

This thread has provided me with many laughs today. Cinnamon and pepperoni

Filed: Timeline

I was a late December filer, and my status changed just this morning on the AOS to "ready to be scheduled for interview". Our timeline:

Applying from: San Jose

Package Received: December 23rd

NOA Hardcopy Received: Early January

Biometrics Letter Received: Mid January

Biometrics Completed: January 29th

Status Changed online for AOS to Ready for Interview: February 11

Still no word on EAD, which surprises me. I thought I saw in another thread, someone who's status changed to "Interview", but then later was canceled and approved for both EAD and AOS (seemingly when that part of the file was opened)? Am I imagining this or does this happen sometimes?

Anyways, does anyone know how long it takes to schedule an interview, and from then, how long it would take to (hopefully) receive the GC?

Our status for i-485 changed to RFIE today!! Now waiting for the mail to see what was missing!! <_<

Damn shame. Been a good amount of time since you filed too, which means none of us are yet safe from potential RFE's! That's worrying.

Are you led to believe that your EAD & AP are proceeding without delay? Or will those also now be on hold?

I know... we thought we were out of the RFEs time frame for the December 2015 filers!

Hope EAD and AP processing are independent of the i-485 process. Any experienced VJers comments about this, please?

Since the EAD is based on i485, an initial evidance not only stops the clock but also sets it back to the first date (when the respond to RIE is received). This is what the letter and USCIS website says.

However, there are some cases even with a RIE, they got their approval within 90 days after NOA1.

At this point, I can only speculate, but I cannot avoid thinking that some of us received RIE so that they will not be bothered by any phone calls or deadlines.

This might be a good sign depending how fast your interview will be scheduled. Sometimes it takes months to schedule an interview but hope yours will be fast.

I have similar timeline, but I filed early December. On January 20th my status changed to Ready to be scheduled for interview . On January 27th it changed again to Interview is Scheduled for March 4.
