Hello!

I'm a late December Filer 31st. I was going to post on the January one, but decided to go with this one (I'm still monitoring the January one). Here is my time-line:

Priority Date: Dec. 31st.

Receive NOAs: January 11th. 2016

Biometrics Notice: January 17th. 2016

Biometrics Done: February 4th. 2016.

My Local Office is Salt Lake City, Utah. Anyone filling from here?

Biometrics was a breeze, got there an hour before, there was literally no one there, they were really nice and it only took 5 minutes.

Now it's a matter of waiting, my case tracker online hasn't moved, and I was checking in the January Forum that a lot of them got RFEs almost immediately after doing their biometrics. Anyways, I really hope we don't get one. :)

I was of the viewpoint that we should only wait for the EAD/AP and not think about the GC after that at all because we have no way of knowing when it would be approved. However, I just calculated that my husband's May-July summer tuition will be close to $3,000 if he takes 17 credit hours! (Which is what we want since we want him to be UTA ready by this coming spring.) I was hoping to not apply for federal student loans until the university, but maybe we could make an exception for this summer? Well, that's if we have the I-551c, that is...

Signature coming soon...

To those who haven't heard anything since biometrics:

Has your online status been 'touched' or updated at all? Mine were last updated on December 31st which is when I assume they mailed the NOA1 for all three cases. That was 6 weeks ago.... I was just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat? Is no action online a sign on complete inaction when it comes to my case? Or does it just mean they've not updated it online because they're still working on it?

Guessing that it's just par for the course. Last time my cases were touched was 12/16/15. Worth noting that cases don't always get 'touched' when they're being worked on: see also the people that just magically got their GCs issued. Would imagine that work had been going on in the background prior to that!

No worries: Amhara said basically the same thing to me last week. :) And I agree that the waiting and uncertainty can get under one's skin. Fortunately, us lot are nearly there now (on the EAD/AP front at least) so just a little more waiting and obsessive phone/mailbox checking. ^_^

Hopefully we don't end up like some poor person in the November filers thread. I think I read, they were on day 84 when they received an RFE for initial evidence. Day 84!!

I will NOT be happy if that happens to me.

Par for the course indeed, my cases were last touched on the same day as yours 12/16/15. No updates since. One hopes that RFE's are out of the way now and we are focused on approvals in this group. I'm anxious to start working and filling my days with a bit more activity!
