Oh no haha I wish it were that. I hyphenated my last name with my husbands which the missed off the initial NOA's but corrected it and the RFE had the hyphen. My RFE was for my joint sponsors financial documents which I had anticipated. Fixed now, I hope.

As for CPB, the SSN office had to verify my identity because of me having two middle names and according to CPB they were all my first. I know the annoyance of name problems ha. Anyway in the end I eventually got my SSN ?

Ah, gotcha - hope that's the end of your RFE tennis match.

Maybe it's a British thing, to have our names accidentally concatenated?

Wow, 2 weeks after mailing the response to the initial RFE we get this...

As of January 27, 2016, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC###########, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

That was quick! Will they still send an EAD card?

What was your RFE for? And was it a Request for Initial Evidence? Just trying to see how similar our cases may be, and hope and cross our fingers that maybe we get and update in the next couple weeks! :)

The RFE was a Request for Initial Evidence (as noted in my signature). They just wanted to see proof that I (the petitioner) was a US Citizen. I sent them another copy of my Birth Certificate and a Color Photocopy of my Passport biographic page.

I wish the situation will go as quickly for your case and crossing my fingers for you.

Thank you! We had very similar, needed to see that our co-sponsor was a US Citizen. We sent a birth certificate originally but it was old and small, so sent back passport biographical page and then a minor fix in our affidavit of support changing one number.

Hopefully the process will go quickly now, thanks for your help. :)

I wonder if my RFE was for my omitted tax transcript? I couldn't add one since I didn't file taxes last year because I didn't have a full time job, instead I replaced it with a letter from employer and 6 most recent pay stubs. I actually just filed my 2015 taxes for the first time today!

Not like Royal Mail, it'd be here next day :(

Thanks for replying :)

Oddly enough I've now discovered a new appreciation for Royal Mail. My father sent some documents from England for me with International Tracked & Signed...that took only 5 days and only £7.50. When I had to send some Student Loan paperwork in the opposite direction I had to pay $48 for the express option, just to have tracking :( Still strange watching the white mail trucks pull up and me having to run down to the mailbox to get it. I do miss those red vans and letterbox delivery sometimes :P haha

Any idea what your RFE is for?

lol, the only advantage Ive found to USPS is they collect mail form your mailbox

The RFE(i) I only wish, I did think about calling them up and enquiring so I could get the required item(s) together, but alas its frustrating

Your profile and timeline say you're an IR-1 visa holder. That doesn't require adjustment of status as the holder automatically becomes a permanent resident once they arrive in the US.
