I was looking at the AOS time lines and it seems that a bunch of people whose receipt date was closer to the end of December are still waiting on biometrics letters, so it seems a bit of a normal thing right now. I'm trying to stay patient about it, but I scheduled an InfoPass for January 29th as I expect to have my husband's name change done within two weeks. I will see if we need to bring in the court documents or if they can change his name over the phone. But still, getting his name done is more important than the biometrics, only it's hard to convince myself of that fact!!

I saw that too ! And the EAD approvals are slowly reaching November 20th filers...

Slowly but surely !

What is an InfoPass ??

Thanks !

Yes they are all put on hold or reset the timer (depending on your RFE) since they are based on your I-485.

I agree with neo. Besides, if your issue is small and you are able to respond to the RFE fast, you may not even need EAD/AP. They may just get your response and issue GC! Hopefully you get the letter from them soon!

Finally received our biometrics letter in the mail!! Scheduled for the 29th. Of course that is the only day we are not available. Thinking about walking in early on Monday the 25th. How do you find the hours the Pittsburgh center is open? Is it like a typical 8-5? Is it better to walk in early morning or closer to the end of the day?

That is great to hear!

This is the Pittsburg Info from the same website where I tried to find the office hour for Boston. The Boston Info was correct.

https://www.immigrationdirect.com/uscis-office-locator/uscis-service/application-support-center/Pittsburgh/10183

Because I also called the USCIS helpline to ask about rescheduling I also asked about opening times and she had the info as well.

It says 8am - 4pm.

When I walked in I was there at 8:45am, done and back out at 9:30am. But that was Boston.

There is actually a whole thread where people post their experiences with rescheduling/ early walk in:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/367977-thinking-of-early-walk-in-for-biometrics/page-11?hl=%2Bearly+%2Bwalk+%2Bbiometrics#entry7965208

It is a whole list that gets updated by State and City as people experience something. I found it helpful :-) I looked at it and Pittsburgh seems to have done walk-ins before!

Good Luck!

Hi All,

Thought I'd join this group as a Seattle-based Canadian. Looks like everyone's AOS processes are coming along nicely. So far so good on my end, but obviously anxious for my EAD and AP to be processed soon! Does anyone know if biometrics are at all related to EAD/AP or only for the Green Card?

Thanks!

Hello, Everyone

I paid AOS fee on 01/15/2016, and still waiting for Payment to get paid. My Question is that would it be okay to fill out the AOS Form Now or wait until after March?

If I send out my AOS to NVC now, they not going to ask for it again or will they ask for it to do it again?

Only EAD and GC needs biometrics! that is why on the appt letter you will have those two case numbers..

Hi bluesky777! Just to make it clear... How did you paid the AOS fee but haven't sent the form? are you referring the I-485 or something else? because if it is the case of I-485 (adjustment of status), you mail out the package of the AOS form, with the fee, plus all the documentation that they required!

can you explain a little bit your situation?
