Any luck yet?? Still nothing for us. I checked our NOA and it stated that it was not the biometric letter and we would be receiving that in a separate letter. I'm getting nervous that it won't get delivered and we will miss our appointment without even knowing!

I did do a search on Monday and came across a whole bunch of posts with people in each monthly thread of filers, missing their biometrics due to getting their letters too late / not at all / USPS did not deliver etc. They were all able to do a walk-in or reschedule, depending on the office they were at. So at least they do not kick you out of the system as soon as you miss it - like mine said on it "if you dont reschedule before the appt and dont show up the application(s) is (are) considered as abandoned" or something to that effect. Freaked me the h*** out! And turned out to not be a big issue, thank god!

Nothing yesterday. My noa said the same thing as yours. I'm not nervous quite yet but I'm feeling quite impatient over it!

USCIS received our response to the RFE!!! Yay, I hope this is a good sign! They didn't put a date though that we'd hear by and I know most people get a date in their status when they'd hear by.

On January 14, 2016, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC###########. Our National Benefits Center office will begin working on your case again. We will mail you a decision or notify you if we need something from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Damn! I'm really sorry to hear you got an RFE.

Did your status just recently change to RFE?

I've had biometrics done Jan 07, but my status just says:

"On December 7, 2015, we received your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC1690301278, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by January 6, 2016, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

Did yours say that before as well?

I have my appt on Tuesday and I am so excited!! I also received the letter from Social security office (finally, after 80 days.. YES, EIGHTY DAYS) that will be receiving my ss card in two weeks!! They took their time "reviewing" my paperwork (since I applied after marriage, and changing my last name) but finally it is almost there!

And really wish our team could get our GCs approved soon without getting AP nor EAD!!

We got one too... day after our biometrics appointment. Our USCIS status changed to say that they've mailed us our RFE it says Request for Initial Evidence. No clue what it could possibly be... The update was on the 12th and it still didn't come in the mail today.... here's hoping for Monday so we can get this rolling again. *Sigh*

Ugh this is so annoying because I've noticed a bunch of people getting rfe's for the dumbest things. I mean I really hope I didn't mess anything up with the stuff I sent abs the rfe is really easy, but I'm going to be so mad if they rfe'd me for something that's already included in the package or because of one misspelling. >:[ I keep checking the mail too .-.

I was looking at the AOS time lines and it seems that a bunch of people whose receipt date was closer to the end of December are still waiting on biometrics letters, so it seems a bit of a normal thing right now. I'm trying to stay patient about it, but I scheduled an InfoPass for January 29th as I expect to have my husband's name change done within two weeks. I will see if we need to bring in the court documents or if they can change his name over the phone. But still, getting his name done is more important than the biometrics, only it's hard to convince myself of that fact!!
