On the bottom of my biometrics appointment letter there is a telephone number 1-800-375-5283. Perhaps you could try calling that to see if an appointment has been scheduled. Your letter may well have gone adrift in the mail.

Thank you! I'll wait a few days and maybe call next week :)

We called just now and the rep pointed out that our case says that the fingerprint fee was received on January 11th, so that our biometric letter should be arriving at any time. I don't know if that is a sort of update message or not, but yeah, I think all us 'stragglers' will be getting biometric letters soon!

When we called, she said, "It looks like you are calling about an RFE?" Hmmm, maybe a sign of things to come!!! :o

I hope we get the Bio appointment soon. Mine has said fingerprint fee received since I've been able to see my case. It says it's been received since the 24th.

I hope that's not a sign of what's to come! I'll check the mail in approximately two hours and see if there's anything yet.

LOL! No, it's not at all! Someone on the October filer thread had requested a service request for their EAD, they received their EAD/AP combo card, but their AP case status was never updated! Then the way they are approving GC applications! Don't get me wrong, I am very encouraged that ones that filed two months before us have been getting their GC's and I'm hopeful for our team, but how are they determining who gets worked and who doesn't? There are still many cases that are waiting for a year!

I don't know, maybe it could really matter on what sort of visa you arrived with, but they are certainly inconsistent!

Signature coming soon...

Our case numbers are FINALLY showing on USCIS. It is just a little glimmer of hope, but maybe our biometric letter will be coming soon?

Hey Amhara,

thanks for letting us know.

I kind of lost the hope that the numbers show up in the system so I didn't tracked it anymore the last days.

But after I read your post I was no curious and I checked it right now... and tadaa... Our case no# are showing up too now. ;-)

At least it gives me a better feeling now.

Just got back from my biometrics in Wichita, KS. I was the only person there, and was in and out in about 15 minutes. The staff looked pleased for something to do!

We got the hard copy of the rfe. It is so nerve wracking. Uhgggg

They were trying to say that I did not meet the 125% income level based on the documents I submitted. And told me to submit supporting tax documentation or get a co sponsor.

It's so crazy because this is the exact information to the -T- that I sent in when I filed for the K1 visa application. I seemed to have enough documentation then to be above the guidelines, but a few months later they tell me I am not. It's so crazy!

And now I can't even call to find out anything.. My wonderful husband is out getting us a car and since he is not here right now, they will not tell me anything or answer any questions without having his permission first. So now I have to wait and call tomorrow..

We are looking at a co sponsor, just incase (which is really strange)... I just don't want to take any chances of them denying us. I just don't know if that co sponsor (which is just 1 in the household) will have to meet the guidelines for their own household + my husband or if it has to include our whole household as well...

Damn! I'm really sorry to hear you got an RFE.

Did your status just recently change to RFE?

I've had biometrics done Jan 07, but my status just says:

"On December 7, 2015, we received your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC1690301278, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by January 6, 2016, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

Did yours say that before as well?

You might not be slowed down at all. I saw an October filer just be approved for their GC, EAD and AP after only 77 days! They had an RFE right after their biometrics and it didn't seem to slow them down at all. They're in GA through Atlanta office like myself so makes me hopeful for a speedy process (if only that happened to us all)

If your RFE is for something relatively simple I don't think it should slow down too much or restart the wait. Just takes time to be matched up and a person to review it really. From my experience with watching RFE's for the I-129f's on VJ an approval usually isn't far away. And that's even in the Texas black whole haha

But with this process you never know, just play it by ear but hopefully your EAD/AP will come through sooner rather than later and you can travel. I'm hoping the same as I intend to travel back to the UK this Christmas on either AP or GC depending on quickness...:)

Good luck with the RFE though. Here's to hoping it's something simple :D

I hope we get the Bio appointment soon. Mine has said fingerprint fee received since I've been able to see my case. It says it's been received since the 24th.

I hope that's not a sign of what's to come! I'll check the mail in approximately two hours and see if there's anything yet.

Any luck yet?? Still nothing for us. I checked our NOA and it stated that it was not the biometric letter and we would be receiving that in a separate letter. I'm getting nervous that it won't get delivered and we will miss our appointment without even knowing!
